It straightens your back out and can give you an inch or so by naturally fixing scoliosis. Every person gets scoliosis to a mild degree as they grow taking anywhere from 1-2 inches off their max height.

Is hanging from the backside of your knees (bent legs) effective? Don't want to spend money on some israeli floating shoes .

Lmao bro, focus on lifting before focusing on height. If you don't recognize what they are you are by definition a dyel. Why do non-lifters even browse this board anyway?

if we make the assumption that sustained inversion actually works to a significant, permanent degree then 1) you're losing out on any elongation/decompression occurring from your knee to your ankles, B) you're going to really, really tighten up your hamstrings which are probably already tight which could start fricking with your pelvis, 3) you're putting a lot of strain on your patellar tendon. just go shell out for the israelite boots.

There's no fricking difference between hanging from your hands and feet.

At least in a dead hang you're also stretching lats and improving shoulder mobility. Foot hanging/inversion tables are gimics made to market to beginners and pseudo-fit white people.

        >there's no difference
think about the forces acting on your spine for one second before you start saying moronic shit. after you realize the different mechanisms that are happening between the two suspensory acts i want you to realize how fricking stupid it is to be as confident as you were while writing the above post despite the fact that you made zero attempt at actually thinking about the situation. if you can navigate that thought experiment then you may even come away from this interaction a better person. more likely you'll walk away being a slightly irate moron.

only way to make yourself taller after you have stopped growing is if you have shit posture and fix that. depending on how bad your posture is you can gain maybe up to and inch and a half. ive "gained" an inch after working on mine
