Impressive lift, I just don't know how essential it is to conditioning.

5L/5R + 100 swings is literally a standalone program for conditioning and martial arts.

Turkish Get Ups confuse the shit out of me. Are you supposed to do them with like 5lb weights? What purpose does the motion serve, it looks super unnatural to me.

      >it looks super unnatural to me.
Laying on your back and standing up with one arm? Deadlifts are unnatural.

        >lay on your back with a weight held straight up over you with one arm fully extended
        >now, without lowering the weight shift in to a lunge position
        >ok now stand up
        >ok now reverse that movement
        ???

      I'm aware of it. moron.
It even says so in the name of the file.
But if you look at the gif in the OP, it starts from the kettlebell in already straight hand. How does it get there? By pressing it while lying, which is an exercise that also works the chest muscle, which is missing the coloration in the said gif.

      >5lb weights
Starter kettlebell weights are about 35lb.

For men in kettlebell sports. But there are lighter ones for recreation and women/children.

I mean, it's kinda gay in the west(as the most things related to crossfit), but we(in CIS) still have old-school gyms and kettlebell clubs and competitions.

            Checked
That's 210+ snatches in 10 minutes with a 32kg kb? How could anyone think it's a meme, and not absolutely brutal?

It's a good strength and mobility benchmark and party trick but it's not a great training modality. The loading just isn't significant enough to actually get strong by doing get-ups unless you are untrained.

    Also I hate turks.
