It's because most people, probably including you, do them wrong. Never lock out your elbows directly over your shoulders because their is no tension on the triceps at the top of the movement. The weight should always be behind your head and lock out behind your head so their is constant tension on the triceps. Doing it properly this way will make your triceps on fire.
The way Rich does them here, across to the chin, is honestly one of the best tricep exercises I've found

I'll have to try these. My favorite tricep meme right now is the decline skullcrusher as done by bugenhagen where after failure he goes to kind of a pullover, then press, then skullcrusher negative. Cant find the video on my phone tho
I'm not even going to say because you'll probably call me dyel. But I do them at the very end after heavy seated dumbbell extensions and dips and get my triceps so fucked up that they're cramping. Just try it and see you'll know if it's too heavy because you'll feel it in your elbows in a bad way
I mean you can, but I don't know why you would want to rely on only 2 exercises. Why not throw in some heavy work like close grip bench, and maybe some seated dumbbell extensions, and some lighter stuff like this

im kind of a noobie lifter but why not? why do you need to do different exercises? am i doing something wrong if i just do the same thing over and over?
I personally like cable stuff over freeweights because the tension of the weight follows the direction you pull/push whereas free weights its just gravity going down.
Overhead triceps extensions are the most based exercise one can do at a comercial gym.
You just stand there like an alpha male in the middle of the room puting some big weigths overhead that normies would never dare cause too scare of some elbow joint pain. Also, they grow the fuck out of your triceps and gives a good pump to your long head.

I think I get the idea. I've actually always done skullcrushers on a slight decline, just feels a lot better when you can get stretched down more

how do skull crushers compare with kickbacks?
i only have dumbells at home so im stuck with either of those and overhead extensions
Skullcrushers grow the lateral head more (which is 2/3rds the mass of the entire triceps)
