        only if you are stupid. I snapped my spine doing DLs when I started out and my form was shit. Now being doing them for a while and no issues with snaps.

        The trick is no warmup and jerky motions

    check your form, do it heavier, and do accessory back exercises until your feel the isometric hold in your shoulders/lats when you deadlift

        Great frickin form and heavy frickin weight. Nice.

        I studied dl form and the impression I got was that the back to arm angle should be a little more obtuse than this when the weight starts to come off the floor. As in bent over more, less knee flexion.

    It's not a lift for size, it's for strength in the back.
    Zercher squats are a better exercise btw. It hits back, legs and upper body.

      Except for making you strong. A very submaximal pull cannot make you stronger. Adding to your Diddy ALWAYS increases your power clean; the power clean doesn't do much for the Diddy except act as a light dynamic exercise.

      I only ever clean and jerked, but after I got to 250lbs clean I tried DL for the first time in years - I pulled 375lbs for two. These aren't your numbers, but some of your logic is wrong.
