Does raw honey build muscle?

This stuff is really magical. Brainlets think it's no different than pure sugar. In fact, it has many interesting and paradoxical effects in the body which science is just beginning to scratch the surface of. I've experimented with consuming large amounts of raw honey, as much as 1 pound per day, which is over 2000 calories, on top of my normal diet. I've gained no fat, and my fasting blood glucose has actually lowered. At the same time, it provides lots of energy for muscle growth. It's only been about a month, but I've seen significant lean muscle growth and improved body composition. Am I onto something IST?

Post body with timestamp, u won’t.

I won't because it's not like I've turned into the hulk in one month, and I don't have a before pic. I have seen noticeable improvements. What I haven't seen is any noticeable increase in fat. Eating a 2000 calorie surplus should have added a visable amount of excess fat in 1 month, but it didn't.

You said "as much as 1lb per day", suggesting an average of less than 2000kcal of honey per day.
You would need to also know how many calories of non-honey food you consumed each day on top of your calorie burn each day to say anything useful from this.

        This.
        Your posts lack context.
You state this is an experiment you have been doing for a month and try to imply it's some sort of process but you haven't got a baseline for weight, lifts etc.
Bro you just randomly decided to start eating a pound of honey...
Get checked for diabeetus or at least come back comitted to the experiment

I check my fasting glucose every day. It actually improved with POHAD (pound of honey a day).

you haven't 'experimented' you've just stuffed your face with honey and mused on the potential benefits
there's no quantifiable data to work with

Besides, cholesterol is more important for muscle growth than protein.

it's the most important, hence the "pro" in protein, moron
you ain't building shit without protein, raw honey isn't gonna build shit you fricking moron, the only foods that build muscle are protein foods, and the only thing you can take to build muscle that isn't protein is roids

          >the only foods that build muscle are protein foods
First of all, it takes energy to build muscle. Simple carbs are the quickest source of energy. Second, carbs spike insulin which is the master anabolic hormone. You aren't turning on protein synthesis without insulin. Third, most of the increase in muscle size from hypertrophy is due to increased glycogen (sugar) storage and water which is stored with the glycogen.

I seriously thought people got over the protein meme after the 90s.

Not commenting on any alleged mass consumption, but eating local raw unfiltered honey got rid of my allergies. I moved to a new area and mowing my lawn would cause my nose to run, I'd be doing the farmer's blow a few times per hour. After a couple weeks of eating honey it stopped bothering me. Feels good.

It needs to bee raw as in dripping with body parts raw though. Otherwise yeah it's mostly sugar.

Thoughs on royal jelly? It's supposed to be even better.

I actually just ate some raw honey comb with royal jelly. It is next level. But you're wrong about raw honey. It just can't be heated and extruded and shit like the ultra processed honey. As long as all the enzymes, nitrous oxide precursors, polyphenolic compounds, pollens, etc etc are intact, you're getting most of the benefits. You don't need bee larva and shit, although I'd love to try that.

You're right but the best way to make 100% sure you're getting the real deal is by getting it with larva and shit. Otherwise you'll have to take your sellers word for it.

honeys most important attribute is that it kills candida albicans which is really hard to kill.

if you combine honey with raw garlic and consume it for 1 month straight, then you will kill off every single parasite in your body.

No, no it fricking doesn't. There's absolutely nothing in honey that lends it's self to growth of any thing in fact it does the opposite.

    No.
Sugar makes you lean - see fruitarians for proof
    Protein makes you bulk muscle
Fat makes you bulk fat - see ketards for proof of this
The ideal strategy is to eat the three macros in a balanced way to achieve the body you desire.

Now in case I accidentally summoned the keto schizo - the only time I ever gained belly fat was from bulking with 1000-2000 extra calories of fat per day. None of those calories were turned into muscle. It should be no surprise that excess fat calories were stored as fat. It makes perfect biological sense.
