Don't mean to hate, but why does this dude look like this? He's strong but looks like a relatively normal guy.

I've tried to work out like these kinds of guys and build strength and none of it works. These people are just genetically strong and can hang from trees all days like monkeys.
I can put on a decent amount of muscle but none of it translates into strength. I am permastuck on babyweights.
The fitness industry is primitive psuedo science industry and no one knows anything. That guy is strong because he just is.

Maybe some men maximize muscle recruitment, while others maximize making more and bigger muscle fibers?

hanging from shit doesn't really make you strong. the common denominator between all strong guys is strong posterior chains, from the traps, lower back, glutes and hamstrings. someone can technically build 'strong' quads, abs, lats by doing pistol squats and pull ups, but that won't translate to picking up heavy shit, which has been the standard for strength since forever. there are literally rocks in europe that determine your manhood based on if you can lift them or not. you do you but i consider strength to be picking up a heavy external object, so you'll never really become strong swinging around like a monkey.
and to answer your question, calisthenics is usually just isometrics done with increasingly harder leverages, which goes against all the bodybuilding rules. no rom, very difficult to progressively overload slowly. he'd probably look decent if he just did some curls and lateral raises instead of his circus tricks (1 arm pull ups are notorious for giving people golfer's elbow).

This is true. I don't train my posterior chain (other than back lever tugs) or legs and struggled to pick up my 48kg ex the other day. OTH I can do 6 squaky clean pullups and 8-9 chinups @ 84.5kg.

He's just short and skinny. I did calisthenics for years but struggled on many things due to be abit loñger than most of these guys, and being heavier. I moved to weighted calisthenics and my strength accelerated quickly, and I was able to do more than before, but having the right body dimensions for leverage, is always going to be an advantage.

Genes and food. Bodies respond differently to stresses.

I'm guessing that he is just short. If so, he might not be that strong in absolute terms (at least less so than his 10+ years of training would suggest), but still be fantastic at bodyweight stuff because of his small size. I am a 6'4 DYEL and I weigh over 200lbs, and no matter how many twists or rock climbs or kid's playground invasions or whatever I do, I will never be able to pull off a human flag. If he is tall then will I shit my pants and kneel.

It's because he has a shirt on. Calisthenics bros have to take their shirt off to show their bod, unlike successful lifters that look buff through a 3 piece suit.

Hes more of a gymnastics build than a calisthenics build. Yes, he does calisthenics, but he also runs alot.

I kinda like this dude. He seems nice and his approachability is likely what draws people to his channel. He seems to do calisthenics mostly just for fun and to feel good. That being said, I'd much rather drink a beer with Chris Heria than this guy. He seems like the type of dude to talk shit about you to women behind your back.

    >but why does this dude look like this?
    >why doesn't calisthenics give results liek a bodybuilding routine?
    >why doesnt powerlifting give results like a bodybuilding routine?
    >why doesnt cardio give results like a bodybuilding routine?
At this point I seriously can't tell if everyone is moronic or if this is some kind of eternal meme
