Makes you think. Are back squats the most overrated exercise in existence thanks to SS/SL?

I dropped squats and deadlifts entirely. Theyre arguably the best exercises but if i feel uncomfortable and cant push myself doing them, whats the point?

Being a man, that's the point.

Why should i not do the safer alternatives with little drawbacks?

I dont understand this mentality. Youre 1 rep away of either killing yourself or being in a wheelchair forever.

Not everyone can squat or deadlift. If you found a exercise that works for you, then by all means do it. What works for you may not work for others and vice versa. If these crybabies want to b***h, let them be.

Focus on form and look up how to do the exercises properly?

The vast majority of the population do these exercises or eventually start. The percentage of people who get seriously injured is very small. You can't beat bench/squat/deadlift for developing size and strength.

I would figure out where your weak points are (I'm assuming you're afraid for your lower back) and start doing some accessory exercises that will strengthen the areas you're worried about.

          muh stats:
          6'2" 210lbs
          bench: 325
          squat: 405
          deadlift: 475

I used to be fat and im currently still losing weight. I still have high blood pressure so whenever i finish a set i feel extremely dizzy. And i fail the set not because of muscle failure but because of general exhaustion.

back squats have their place for beginners to start lifting especially when starting SS/SL. After you build your foundation, you develop your own routines depending on what your fitness goals are.

Canditos real issue is small frame and skinny neck. He benches 4pl8, hes a better lifter than pretty much everyone one here. If he took the neckpill and was average height+wider shoulders he would look a lot bigger. The barbell movements are still goated, and the exception doesnt disprove the rule.

If Candito doesn't make you realise that absolute strength doesn't matter for how you look then nothing will.

Most people don't care about legs and just train them so they don't have chicken legs, and high bar squats are good enough for this purpose
You also don't have to go to failure with squats but you do with leg machines and it feels awful

Candito ended up looking like shit because he went ultra specific with powerlifting training
Nothing but comp bench with big arch and wide grip for upper body, and it's a terrible movement for hypertrophy. It didn't even work for him and I bet he'll hit a bench PR after spending some time building muscle

This is just not true at all and you shouldnt have a weakest link unless its your first month squatting.

      >This is just not true at all and you shouldnt have a weakest link unless its your first month squatting.
You always have a weak link or you'd never fail a lift

Squats are limited by your weakest muscle. If they're you glutes for example then your quads will hardly get trained

Nobody should ONLY do one movement for a body part, but squats are too valuable to skip unless you have a debilitating injury.

if you strictly only care about how you look and don't care about being strong. like at all. because you will be really weak, legpress has no carryover to anything. then yeah it makes sense. and if you don't mind getting injured doing normal stuff like moving a couch. or maybe you just rent a furnished in the big city (it's got exposed brick!) and you never do 1 minute of physical labor in your life. then yeah just skip squats and deads.
