    Also protein consumption, particularly leucine, activates mtor for muscle synthesis. Not all keto diets are built the same. Vegetable-based keto diets won't give you insulin response or the protein you need to activate mtor to see a noticible muscle growth

              I was responding to "plant-keto won't give the protein needed to activate mtor and build muscle". animal-keto is better, but you can still build muscle on plant-keto if you make sure to get enough protein/leucine.

              yeah, but you need to eat a frickton of peas/whatever to get a high amount of protein in. a powder is easier.
