yes although it's different form of soaking you have to use an acid (like milk or yogurt) and it's only real benefit is getting more b vitamins

        >dissolve toxins
top kek this pseudoscience cracks me up

dissolve isn't wrong per se they're water soluble and that's why you can remove a large amount of them from legumes by soaking and rinsing prior to cooking.

I never said toxins the other guy did. Anti-nutrients whatever you want to call them doesn't really matter they're not created to poison us or prevent us from eating them. They're just there because every plant and animal more complex the single celled animal has multiple stages of chemical energy utilization and systems to retain or retrieve them. The human frame of reference for reddit word games doesn't matter.

        not toxins
theyre dry so soakin em up would make cooking em easier
they could also sprout sometimes, making them somewhat easier to digest
the toxic compounds will come when u cook at heats so low the beans kinda stay warm but not hot, meaning they concentrate as opposed to breaking down in high temp
e.g. its toxic to eat a kidney bean
it becomes 5x more toxic if u undercook it like a moron

Oats have phytic acid that make the nutrition nigh inaccessible. Soaking overnight breaks up that phytic acid, but another anon was right in that you need to soak with some sort of acid (I use water with a little bit of ACV)

It's pretty well-established that fiber and legumes in large amounts cause gastrointestinal distress. Just stop eating fiber or legumes and your problems will go away, pretty simple.

Imagine being filtered by a legume.
BTW, I made a large bean dish for several dinners and have had 3 days straight of 60-70g of fiber and no ill effects. Frickin digestive-tractlets ITT

Lol, that must be what causes all those regular, easy poos, I'm sure. Fiber feeds gut flora and I consume a lot of fermented foods as well so I never have any GI problems.

Me too.. ifnI eat beans of lentils I fart soooo much for a whole day or even two days.

It it absurd, I even get upset because it happens every 15 minutes. You guys will never belive me, but looks like all solids turn to gas inside me and came out as a long loud fart every 15 minutes.. i even need to wipe my ass because after a couple hours some shit came out too

Sometimes i get very upset and press my stomach and squat a little and push out to speed the process but nothing works

If I eat meat, nothing happens.. just 3.. 6 farts/ week

But beans dont smell, but meat farts are smell like a dead rotting vulture

Powdered milk also makes me fart a lot

I am not Black person, i am austrian/iberian
