you don't really need to treat it as anything more than magic in the workforce. IDEs often even have guis for it incorporated to make it even more magical.
Solid understanding of git is a good separator between mediocre software engineers and ones I'd trust with a production critical code base.

Controversial and highly uninformed opinion but I hate git so fucking much. A lot of the time I'll just go to the project page and manually paste my new code into the master branch because I can't be fucked with resolving conflicts. It's not like I'm collaborating with other people on it anyway.

Egg prices never went crazy here. I was paying $2.50 for 18 the whole time everyone else was tripping saying it was almost 8 dollars just a town over. Plus my family has chickens I can call my granny and get so many eggs if I take the drive to visit. I need to visit my grandma more anyways though.
