        ive lifted on and off for 10 years now and the conclusion i've arrived at is that 1rm means nothing. i think its even detrimental to measure your progress as a 1rm
        say you 5rep your training max and then set a new pr with 3 reps beyond your training max, it means more because you aren't coping your form to pump that 1rm number. if you can do 3 good reps and no more, that is a good way to measure your strength

    Form will break down the closer you get to 100% of a 1RM.
    Having practiced good form, you can do clean reps at like 95%, but 100% will never be spot on.
    Ego lifting is just never learning a consistent, semi-safe form to begin with.
