It definitely has to do with ricel industry pushing rice on everyone, but rice was also popularized by bodybuilders because it's cheap inoffensive carbs. You just buy it in bulk and boil it in water.
Potatoes are far superior to rice, but potatoes spoil. Potatoes need to be peeled if you want to make anything but a baked potato.
There alternatives like buckwheat but buckwheat tastes like ass and has a shit texture. Oats get old fast. Couscous is too grainy, it's like eating sand.

What really sold rice to people is that on top of the convenience it pairs with chicken and chicken is the cheap bodybuilder protein.

yeah tomatos are a shitty texture with no taste

Tomatoes can be amazing. The problem is that most of the tomatoes you get at the grocery store are picked waaaaay under ripe so they don't rot before they can ship them to a store and sell them. Since they don't get time to ripen, the tomatoes end up with all the flavor of a glass of water.
That's actually the case with most produce you get from the grocery store. If you can get home grown vegetables, always do. You won't believe how good they can taste. It's a night and day difference from grocery store trash.

If you ARE going to eat carbs like this, they should be eaten separately from the protein. Carbs and protein require entirely different enzymes and pH levels to digest. Eating them together "cancels" eachother out and creates subobtimal digestion.

It is me, and humans are and will always be hypercarnivores. We have proof of that through archeological records. If our digestion changed enough to where that wouldn't be the case, we'd cease being human. It's a factual statement.

It's logically consistent in that proof that we're hypercarnivores isn't proof that it's the optimal, ideal, best diet for people. Those are two separate ideas, and if you can't separate those, we really don't need to discuss further.

What evolutionary pressure would remove the ability to taste sugar from humans? Your assumptions on the human diet are incorrect, but that's pretty much what I would expect.

Carrying along vestigial features requires excess energy and material to be spent maintaining and building those features. If they were no longer used, logically in evolutionary terms, it would not make sense to have a much higher proportion of digestive machinery to process things we would not naturally eat.

If it were particularly taxing to the body and offered no benefit. Google what a hypercarnivore is, for the love of God. This will be my last post to you until you've shown signs that you understand the terminology. I'm not looking to engage with the misinformed over false assumptions for hours.

Stop pivoting with passive aggressive comments. I know what hyper carnivore means. It's a being that derives at least 70% of its nutrition from meat. My point still stands and you've not addressed it at all. If human beings were hyper carnivores, then the gastric juices and digestive enzymes and salivary digestive enzymes would reflect this. But they don't. There's far fewer fat and protein processing enzymes and facilities in the human body than there are facilities for digesting carbohydrates. This is disproportional to your claim and it refutes it on its face. If a human being was only supposed to get 30% or less of their diet from carbohydrates, our entire glycogen storage system and the process for raising, lowering, and moroning blood sugar and insulin would be radically different.

Thank you for finally reading the definition. We may now move on to further discussion. Yes, our gastric juices and digestive enzymes reflect our hypercarnivore nature, as shown here (

) the (yet another) false assumption that the body would physically need more digestive enzymes in the saliva to process meat is absurd. The stomach already has the full capacity to break down meat and its associated tissues. The ability to properly process sugar doesn't indicate anything about what our optimal diet should be, if anything, it reflects the scarce nature of sweet foods in the wild during our evolution that would drive us to consume these treats when we could, but we wouldn't have access to these sources perennially. I know it may be quite the long read, but the source I've provided goes into greater detail than I.

                >If a human being was only supposed to get 30% or less of their diet from carbohydrates, our entire glycogen storage system and the process for raising, lowering, and moroning blood sugar and insulin would be radically different.
What makes you believe that? As it is now, the body is quite adept at handling blood sugar, but there are many, many examples of hyperglycemia in the modern era. The fact that we can have issues regarding carbohydrate absorption at all indicates that our diets are poor when ingesting such voluminous amounts of carbohydrates, especially in the sense of a mixed diet (mixing fats and carbohydrates, aggravating the Randle cycle). As dietary carbohydrates are entirely non-essential nutrients in humans, the obvious outcome would be that the essential nutrients (fats and proteins) are the only required foods that humans should eat. I really don't understand your fixation on the need to consume carbohydrates when a healthy body is fully capable of running optimally without ingesting carbohydrates, as any necessary carbohydrates can be made endogenously.
Further, we have gallbladders which store bile produced by the liver specifically to allow us to emulsify large boluses of fat we might ingest. It's known that abstaining from using said bile can allow for the formation of bile stones. Why would we need this if our bodies were designed for low-fat foods (vegetation)?

Why do you deny the nutrient benefits of proper cooking. Tastes better is better I'd be paying like 70 dollars for any steak dish I make and 40 for making 2x portions of chicken. Per meal.

It only tastes good because you've never gotten rid of the seasonings. When your body adapts to eating just meat, the taste perpetually gets better and better to its limit with no feelings of fatigue of the flavor, as there are no toxic loads to tire the palate.

Au poivre with bordelaise is way better than plain steak and has stock which has way more nutrients and fat. Still rather that than plain steak but I still need carbs and greens with some measly ass 20oz steak.

Especially chicken, even if you eat 24oz you need a sauce and I'm gonna eat carbs before lifting on a cut at worst.

It is me, and humans are and will always be hypercarnivores. We have proof of that through archeological records. If our digestion changed enough to where that wouldn't be the case, we'd cease being human. It's a factual statement.

My insistence on eating a shitload around a workout for max gains is not an eating disorder, I just like to cook. Btw you can get beef at the same sale price from the butcher and ask them to cut you a fresh one at like 1.5lb to really utilize a smaller pan and 325 in the oven so the bottom isn't half grey.

The ones you get have been sitting out and aren't big enough for a porterhouse strip filet or delmonico(save the bone). My #1 way right now is baking potatoes at 350 then smashing down with butter then 400 over the course of like 45 minutes or boil before then cut and 400 with heavy salt and butter. Still working on my bordelaise, hollandaise is obviously on point.
