Epididymitis

This board seems to be the closest to health.

I haven’t been able to lift in weeks. This shit is driving me insane. I tried to wait it out for 2 weeks. But my balls are so sore so I went to the doctor and got meds. But they aren’t working. Has anyone else had this?

I did, it was a muscular thing for me, my pelvic floor muscles were super tight and it was basically squeezing on the nerves down there causing pain.

Went through probably 5 different types of antibiotics that didn't do anything and eventually fixed it just by doing pelvic floor exercises and deep breathing.

Apparently it's common for guys to store stress or tension in the pelvic floor, there's different exercises or stretches you can do to help just google "pelvic floor stretches".

Epididymitis lasts for ages man, I've caught chlamydia four times coz man prostitute, and it went away after a while the first time I got it from the clap, the second time which was the most recent its still a dull ache in my right testicle. Kinda gave up on trying to get it fixed and just allow it to be a reminder to not be as much of a prostitute (it didnt work).
Its not fun man, and the residual pain can last for months. Gonna try what this anon suggested though

To follow up on this, from what I can tell once you're clean of any STI, its just a waiting game for the ache to go away.

Are you fricking kidding me? Months?? This is miserable and it’s very distracting. I don’t want this to affect my job. Frick

If you're a virgin that really points to it being a muscular thing. Are you pretty sedentary besides going to the gym?

In summer I think I get this. I go free ball most summer cause pressure makes it worst. Put ice pack again the side of nut helps.
    NSAIDs also help
You could ask a urologist to drain it

I had a doctor tell me once that my testicle hurt because I was shitting so hard that I was squeezing piss into the little sack in the testicle that holds the sperm. That's not a joke. I hate doctors

It's a pain, but you can fix it, just make your you completely empty the piss from your bladder before lifting. It helps to drink more water too so you piss more often. Do this and your epididymis will sort itself out in a 6 to 8 weeks from my own experience.

I know that feel bro. Had this last year and I couldn't really be active for a little over a month. First tried to wait it out, then went to the doc and just got prescribed ibuprofen. Makes sense since it's an inflammation. What meds were you supposed to take?

They have me taking doxycycline and putting ice packs on my balls

Ice packs are fine. Can't say anything about the antibiotics but they didn't provide some relief for you?
I'd definitely recommend something anti-inflammatory if it's fine together with the doxycilin. Nutrition also, stuff like Omega-3s, onions&garlic, apple cider vinegar.

What also helped was wearing tighter underwear that supports the balls. Sounds counter-intuitive first but free swinging just hurt like a b***h and can make it worse.

If you are feeling around to see how swollen you are, then stop. That's what kept mine from healing. Also changed to looser pants

do more light impact cardio, shoot for longer times.
epididymitis is inflammation. therefore anything that reduces inflammation and keeps blood flowing is good.
Since majority of the causes of the inflammation are bacterial by circulating blood constantly with longer cardio times you have a much higher chance of developing an immune response which will help to successfully remove the pathogen causing it. People seriously underestimate cardio m8.
Also cranberries are the absolute best of removing biofilm from the urinary tract. Since the testicles connect to the prostate you can successfully remove primary/secondary infections from the line (odds are e. coli spread from the prostate to the testicles) which will further reduce inflammation and help immune response.
Elderberries do the same thing and should be used also.
You can take NAC which some of it gets pissed out and can be helpful at removing urinary biofilms (not nearly as effective).

Reoccurring/chronic infections are always associated with biofilms. If you do not remove the biofilm you can not successfully treat the problem.

Lots of water, cranberries, elderberries, nac, vitamin c sources, cardio, anti-inflammatories, and finally if all that fails antibiotics.
Biofilms have a 60% fail rate when treated by a single antibiotic. By using anti-biofilm proprties before hand this fail rate drops to 20%.
Also single treatment option is horrible.
If you take antibiotics, you should always do a week anti-biofilm treatment before and 2 antibiotic treatment options.
Drops fail rate to less than 5%.

    t. regularly treat people with stomach, urinary infections.

I had it recurring and then chronic. When you have a flare up, drink a cup of blueberry juice every day and avoid spicy food. To keep it away, consider sleeping in the nude.

Those are the only things that worked for me.

Consider pain killers after cold showers, avoid crossing legs, sleep in corpse position. (As in on your back), avoid high intensity cardio as they can smack these testicles around and cause more damage, however do something like light calisthenics that get the heart rate up.

so not from having secks? When I had it the pain went on for a few months like

Epididymitis lasts for ages man, I've caught chlamydia four times coz man prostitute, and it went away after a while the first time I got it from the clap, the second time which was the most recent its still a dull ache in my right testicle. said, but that was from it being an STD, if you dont have STD as the cause then idk how long it'll last for you

I unironically had this thing too. I went to see my doc like twice. Did an ultrasounds no hernia,. Did an STD/bacterial infection check both came up clean. nothing weird on my balls. She gave me the "hurr durr organs come in all shapes and sizes it might just not be the same size as the other side HAHA you dumb idiot" I knew better than her because i actually own a set of balls so i did about 2 weeks of schizo research on the web. What i found was it was either whats called a sports hernia (not an actual hernia, just like pulling of the tendons around where your leg meets your pelvis and it gets inflamed and then "compresses" the canal that carries the epiddimytis down to the testes. I took it easy on squats and deadlifts, in fact i didnt do a leg/lower day for about 2 months. I also did the excercises in this video twice a day and they really helped me, even though they are gay. Just try and do them the best you can. I also did this humping a tennis ball technique where you put a tennis ball on the ground then you get on top of it and place the ball right under that kind of divit area where your leg meets your pelvis and then roll around on top of it the loosen up that area. God speed and dont listen to female doctors about your balls.

Does the pain intensity change when you sit or stand for a couple minutes? Is it on both sides roughly equally? Did a urologist take a look, or just a general practitioner? If you can rule out an std that already goes a long way, but still a lot can happen.
I had what turned out to be a hydatide torsion in my ball. Turns out balls have extremely small appendices too (those become fallopian tubes in females) but those can torque just as much. It was a dull ache in one ball that was sometimes worse, sometimes better. At its worst it also was a burning sensation on top of the ache.
Took some surgery to fix but supposedly it can also just die off if left untreated. It can just take weeks.
