Why the assumption that a powerlifter trains to be able to beat another human being?

A powerlifter is infinitely more useful than a boxer when it comes to working in manual labour for example.

But in the end the whole functional debate is pointless as you will most likely never use the skills you cultivate, just like what you learn in school not being useful at all irl.

Uhh powershitters aren't strong. They use mechanical leverage to try to lift the most weight possible in excercises that don't have any transfer to a manual labor job.
      Also they never train hard.
Mexican manual laborers who have never lifted a weight would litterally mog the living shit out of them at a work site

First of all, I pulled 290 kg when I was at my peak strength autist phase. Second, you have never worked a day in your life. There's no situation which requires you to deadlift such heavy weights irl. It's all about output, not size and strength in manual labour, like I said here

              >A powerlifter is infinitely more useful than a boxer when it comes to working in manual labour for example.

You are delusional. Manual labour isn't about lifting 500 lbs for one rep. It's about lifting moderate weights for multiple hours every day. Like carrying dozens of 100 lbs sacks of cement to the top flor of an apartment complex. The powerlifter would gas and die within 30 minutes. Fighters have cardio for days. They're way more suited for this.

But when you DL 290 your nervous system is so efficient that heavy weights feel lighter and your endurance goes up with it.

I wonder how you dont know that if you could dl 290. What feels like a brick to someone should feel like a feather to you, and you tell me its hard? I had friends in manual labour so I also know what I'm talking about, but my max DL is 220kg.

Black person, I bench over 400 lbs. I also do manual labour. You are just a fricking imbecile if you think lifting 100 lbs is like lifting feathers. Try carrying a few dozen sacks of cement from the bottom to the top of an apartment building. Your fat ass will be dead within 15 minutes.

Obviously weighing 300 lbs is going to be a lot to carry around all day. But the 220 lb guy who lifts is going to be a lot more useful than the 140 lb guy who jogs despite 'muh cardio' like this

Kek you never worked a job before.
Manual labor is all about endurance.
Cardio plus high rep calisthenics and kettlebell are the closest thing to manual labor. Aka what boxers do

IQ 90 moron, because his strength will make everything easier and give him more endurance while jogging just won't do much at all to help you lift 100 lbs over and over.

Martial arts training is a giga-cope. You're spending all that effort training for something that is never going to happen anyway. It's like doing NBA training to be a really good basketball player, but then never actually playing basketball at all. Then you go around commenting to everyone, unsolicited of course, that you could totally beat random other guys at the bar in a theoretical pickup game. Nobody cares, you're LARPing. Just like "fighters" are just LARPing as Ryu. You aren't street fighter, just shut the frick up.

I don't understand the point in a sport that makes you uglier, less healthy, and that nobody is even impressed by.

i thought bodybuilding was basically a drug tolerance competition. powershitting is about lifting heavy shit, which itself is an honorable pursuit regardless what people say about it.

I think you're mixing up powerlifting with strongman competitions

Powershitting is a cope for not being able to cut, 99% of the time. Fatties.

What makes you assume that I'm only a powerlifter ? I'm also a climber, a runner. And I'm not going to master all the disciplines or even the most useful one, I'm gonna do what is fun to me. That post looks like a cope from someone frustrated that they couldnt bench 2 plates.

    TOTAL POWERSHITTER DEATH

Kill powerlifters. Behead powerlifters. Roundhouse kick a powerlifter into the concrete. Slam dunk a powerlifting baby into the trashcan. Crucify filthy powerlifters. Defecate in a powerlifters food. Launch powerlifters into the sun. Stir fry powerlifters in a wok. Toss powerlifters into active volcanoes. Urinate into powerlifters gas tanks. Judo throw powerlifters into a wood chipper. Twist powerlifters heads off. Report powerlifters to the IRS. Karate chop powerlifters in half. Curb stomp pregnant powerlifters

My confusion is why fluff and pump manlets think they are "bodybuilders" and think fat people going to the gym are "powerlifters". This is like some moron who plays flag football once a week calling himself an NFL player and getting midget rage at people who play rugby. The real problem are the homosexualy pop culture normies who have flooded physical culture and are trying to advertise it through the lenses of their gay, single mom taught, npc programming.

Yeah good point. Please stop talking about "bodybuilders" and "powerlifters" as if it has any relevance to anything any of you are doing, unless you actually take part in competitions.

I agree with this, even if you were hypothetically a 300lbs monster bodybuilding competition seems pretty gay though, atleast a powerlifting meet looks fun to me even though doing strength training for competition isn't what I do it for. The only thing gayer than when a lifter who doesn't compete calls themselves those things is when a calisthenics bro calls themselves a "calisthenics athlete" as if they even have an actual sport.

Lmao IST is so insecure about anything. I don't understand how people can refer to it as the "funniest" board. It's always the same thread over and over again

Powerlifting to bench 3 inch rom is different from strength training where you crank out full rom sets of 5-10, real strength training is more functional than kickboxing, bodybuilding or powerlifting. Also only top weight classes stay obese year round in powerliftjng. People here have their priorities fricked up and their minds warped though and have defeated themselves by thinking they will never be strong without being fat.

Just be active. If someone wants to bloatmax and make strength gains that's fine.
Others want to twinkmax and get a bf.
