Why, are there only 2 stores in your whole city, one of them being lidl and the other, aldi?
If you don't like the prices there, go to another shop for fricks sake
those two are the cheapest by far
Magerquark is the goat Aldi cheapgay protein source. Put some nuts and berries in there if you wanna be fancy. Put some garlic and herbs in, some water to make it a little more liquid and use it as a dip for roasted potatoes. Or mix it 1:1 with water and guzzle it down like the disgusting slob you are. It's cheap easy and versatile.
I like their high protein tortillas too. Put some cheese and beans in there and you have an affordable high protein quesadilla. Also a good way to get some greens and veggies in.
Buying whole chickens is also a lot cheaper than just buying breasts. Dismembering the chicken is pretty easy after you've done it a couple of times. Canned tuna and sardines are also a cheap(ish) protein source you can get at either store
Be careful with magerquark don't over do it you might get pimples from it.
I've been eating it for 3+ months everday a 500g carton so I probably over did, after not eating it for 2 weeks my skin went back to normal, just one thing to keep in mind.
We have a few Lidls here from last year. Personally haven't visited them yet but as far as I've heard the prices are pretty much the same there as in other stores.
Don't know where you are located but here (Estonia) the cheapest options are Prisma and Maxima.
Sa kirjutad nagu viimane hälvik, postita füüsis.
I'm an ALDIbro through and through:
>brooklea 0% fat greek yoghurt
>turkey rashers
>ancient grain bread
The meat and fish in Aldi and Lidl is really poor quality. I would stay away from it. Just bulk buy from a butcher´s. You can get like a kilo of chicken breasts for 10 euros or less in most EU countries if not all.
>10 eurobucks for a kilo of chiken titty
I buy them in bulk from Lidl when they are around 5 eurobucks a kilo. (Slovakia)
>buying chicken
>from Lidl
Not gonna make it, Jano.
what's wrong with it?
yeah I 2nd this
I hate buying chicken from lidl. taste is always off or got none
that being said I bought 2 whole chickens there today for 13 euro. 2,8kg, have no idea how much is pure meat of that but it was kinda cheap.
Whole chickens have like maybe an lb of bone? Probably less. But you can use all the leftovers to make stock and cook rice in it. Get that collagen and left over protein and shit.
they are both great, Lidl's bakery is particularly good, though I slightly prefer Aldi overall
if you're in the Netherlands dirk van de broek.
Jonge, er zijn minder dan 10 dirk supermarkten in heel Nederland.
Lidl has Skyr for a euro per 500g, which is 55 grams of protein
Luckily here in the UK both of these and most other stores now have self-checkout. Haven't been paying more than 2 quid in 6 months. Scan two items then simply take the rest. Eventually they will fix this, but in the meanwhile I'm eating like a king.
Black person behavior
Stealing from big chains is morally the right thing to do. Would never do that in my local mom n pop shop.
Get fricked corpo shills.
show hand
A rather shameful act
I don't think I'd have the balls to do that. A couple years ago I accidentally spilled blueberries inside my grocery bag and just took them home without paying. Still feel a little bad about that
Anon I have your IP and have reported you to your local authorities
Aren’t there video cameras looking at these self checkouts? Don’t people sometimes wait in line and see you scan items?
Yes but do this at different shops. So when I come back 3 weeks later they will not remember.
They do have people walking around. Just go at peak capacity times when they have to reset the systems because boomers have messed up. Personal is stretched thin.
I was thinking the same but going through the huge amount of people shopping there daily to find who stole a few dozen euros wouldn't even be worth it. As for people in line the vast majority minds their business anyway, you'd have to be pretty unlucky to be called out
Are you a Black person by any chance?
Trust me the staff will catch on and wait until you show up next time, then they will call the bolice who won't do anything unless they're really bored
Maybe. I do wait some weeks between hitting the stores. Living in London police is usually way too busy, so they just ban you from the store.
shitskin meter off the chart
In Croatia you can buy food for half the price from shoplifting junkies. I like buying sheep cheese.
>chickpeas
50 cent / can
>kidney beans
60 cent / can
>frozen berries mix
2,79 / 750g
>bananas
1,29 / kg
>dried lentils and chickpeas
1,69 / 500g
>vegan mince
2,49 / 250g
Im so sorry and hope you get well soon
welcome to East European life, homosexual, get comfy and enjoy your stay, with the ways things are, you aint leaving it anytime soon
>get a wife
>have her cook food for days in advance, because frick me, I could not be bothered with that
>always buy only stuff on sale
the sales repeat periodically, so most of the time, if you buy the sack of potatos and rice on sale, you should get enough to last at least for next two weeks
>say goodbye to eating out
>if you cant afford it, you dont need it
I cannot stress the last point enough. That one separates people from animals who take out loans on frivolious shit and then wonder, why are they dirt poor with negative balance on their credit cards every month.
spotted the autist
Quark, harzerkasse, canned mackerel, lentils/beans, basmati rice (Lidl usually sell 4,5kg bags of it for great price), milk, eggs, meat, potatoes, carrots, onions.
For overall buying, I prefer Aldi. I get milk and quark from there. Blend together and you got nice protein drink.
From Lidl, I'm taking skyr yoghurt. Some brand (Poland) sell them in 330 g cups. Whole cup is like ~40 g of protein.
Does skyr not have a lot of sugar in it?
No, it's very low carb and fat as well.
Tbf, don't remember the sugars in it, but this specific one had 0 g fats.
I just wanted to let you know that it took an inhuman amount of willpower to refrain from saying your mother
Aldi UK sells these, the whole cup has about 65g protein, usually on sale for £1.19 but original price I think 1.49. Ive been mixing mine with oven cooked sweet potatoes, a bit of honey, and double cream. Nice bulking snack. But good cutting snack on it’s own.
Lidl Milbona outclasses them in flavour and texture by a mile.
The protein puddings are fine, I get them from both lidl and aldi, but the big protein yogurt tub gets you way more protein for the same price. And I’ve yet to see them at Aldi. But lidl has large Greek yogurt tubs which is nice.
*Yet to see them at Lidl
Brain no work
ate this trash for over a year. I dont trust them anymore I think these puddings are very unreliable protein source.
I only trust skyr and normal jugort. Maybe milk on rare occasions.
Not sure if it's the same in Europe, but in the US grocery stores have weekly sales and loss leaders. There's usually a heavily discounted sale on boneless skinless chicken breast every other month and I stock up + freeze it all. It's always a different grocer. I bought 50lbs for $100 last time. I look out for discounted ground beef and chuck roast too.
Just combine with cheap rice, pasta, or potatoes.
Revolt to failure.
Almost Every grocery store and local butcher will have whole chickens (baby, medium, large) for VERY cheap. This is the most protein you can get for the price, way cheaper than the biggest tub of cheap whey.
Roast it to golden in the oven with butter and a stock cube, baste it every so often. Never gets boring.
Non-fat greek yogurt
Low fat cottage cheese
Chicken when it's on sale
Tilapia
Eggs are still okayish (inflation plus avian flu means they'll be up a for a little while yet)
Rice in the bigger bags
Beans in the bigger bags
Frozen veggies are cheap and can be stored easy
What a shit tier diet
>low fat dairy
>low fat meat that's fed S O Y and has a shit tier fat composition
>Rice, no comment needed
>Beans, anti nutrient shit
>Frozen veggies, no nutrients
What great advice!
Post body anon
price went up by 50%, still worth it.
Quark is now double the price than it was a year ago. I hate this so much. It just rose another 10 cent last week. I switched to chickpeas. Not because I can't afford it, but because I don't play along with their stupid games, all those price raises are extremely arbitrary. Butter just got cheaper again while milk and quark got more expensive. Beer and cheap snacks are still the same price. Frick that.
How much are groceries for you europoors? For 2 weeks (I use Aldi US and go to a whole foods markets for specifics like edamame and watercress) and I spend 50-60 burger bucks on average per week, single, maybe up 30-40% from a year ago but it's not unsustainable. I do eat a lot of fish which hasn't grown in price quite as much though, it's mostly staples like eggs/milk/cheese/chicken that's gone up.
It depends, like always. It's a bit hard for me to measure. Years ago, me and my partner lived on 100 euros per month, but we were poorgays then. Now, we live on 300 euros per month, but I got a good paying job last year so our standards rose a bit. Coincidentally, it happened at the same time prices rose. Still, many things are notably more expensive. Quark went from around 50 cent to 1 euro per 250g. Milk from 85 cent to 1,15 per litre. Minced beef from 5,50 at my turkish butcher to 8,50. A can of corn from 69 cent to 99 cent. Tomato paste per 200g from 69 cent to 1,19. Flour from 45 cent to 79 cent. Sugar from 65 cent to 1,19. Eggs is still 1,99 for 10 eggs, as it's been for over a year now. A certain type of smoked salmon I liked to eat went from 1,79 to 2,79.
Like I said, beer's the same, chocolate's the same, cheap sweets are the same. Things like crisps and nachos went up, however.
SKYR
lidl is trash. I know thats the only place I can buy from for the past 2 and half years.
And now prices went up atleast 50%. Quality is trash. Variety is trash. Meat is tasteless trash. 1kg apples are 3 euro. 15 eggs are 4 euro. everyhting has added sugars or preserves or what.
I like aldi much better.
30 eggs are still affordable. 2 whey shakes, 12 eggs, random skim milk and random carbs = 130g or so protein. You will suffer if you’re cutting and need chicken breast
*powdered skim milk
that is so underrated
Organ meats are cheap as hell
Calf liver and cow heart are both 2-3€/kilo
except their chocolate costs more than dairy milk or other brands
Real chocolate coming through
Bázisolt
>real chocco
>posts hungaro trash
sry gyula, our products are insanely low quality
Heavily seconded. Best chocolate is picrel.
Not true, it's just all our luxury products like cars and mangalica get exported because we are poor as frick and no one could afford it domestically. Also pic rel is the best chocolate in this hemisphere and if you argue with me you're gay.
I like Sport szelet more
You ever had vadász though?
their chocolate is actually cheap af while being way better than most us brands, $1.50 per 800cals, hershies is the cheapest comparison at $2.70 for 800cals
>all aldi stores in denmark are closing by the end of the month
eh they were never especially cheap anyways, and were certainly not as good as aldi's in places like bongland, where they get something like half a kilo of tomatoes for 20 pence
harzer käse
Love these Lidl Black folk. 39 pennies each.
Still much more expensive than just buying the oats
Go to SPAR and buy SPAR branded whey and peas, switch rice for beans or peas, also instead of buying chicken breast, just get a couple of rocks and hunt pigeons in the city.
Biedronka chads where we at ?
Looks like a worse Penny
Penny ? More like Penis
I bought bull penis in penny once
Polanon here
Anything worth taking from it? Always thought there's nothing better than Lidl/Aldi brands
There is nothing better than Biedronka when they have those big sales such as "Buy 3 and pay 50% of the price". I usually stock up on dairy when there are sales on them. The key is to check their weekly newspaper online. Never was a fan of Lidl/Aldi/Kaufland, I don' trust krauts and I belive they are slowly poisoning us by feeding us their goyslop products
Biedronka goes very hard.
Greetings from Hungary.
I hate Tesco so much it's unreal.
What about Coop?
Aldi is cheaper than most in America and better quality funny enough. I keep forgetting quarters though.
Farmers have started putting up Vending Machines with local products like meat, milk and eggs. The prices are usually decent like 1 Euro for 1 Liter of Raw Milk and there is always cool seasonal stuff available. The one next to me carries raw cream, kefir, butter and a bunch of other basics but its all much more high quality than the things you get at the normal store while sometimes even being cheaper.
