When I started eating right and exercising, my parents approached me because they were "concerned" and thought I was "overdoing it." They're still fat to this day and both have health problems.

Not family but "friends" waited until I was about 20 feet away and start saying "Anon looks too thin" "Yea" when I had a 20 BMI and wasn't remotely underweight. They were just mad that I ruined their irl "ship" by dating one of the people they were shipping with another one. These were adults acting like this btw

Well my landlady got a little too tipsy one night and we got intimate. One tenant who is older than me broke up with her BF because he cheated on her and I consoled her. The other tenant is younger than me and still in high school, she wanted to get practice before she gets a real BF. Then there's the landlady's sister who came to visit for awhile, she asks me to apply sunblock when she spends time by the pool.

I lost 85 pounds. My dads side never said anything really, in fact I can’t think of anyone saying anything to date. My mom is always saying how different I look, her friends say the same, my aunt and uncle do too. Friends give me the most credit though, I love them more than most of my family

Girl I liked who told me I was just a friend to her got annoyed when I began getting attention from other girls. She got extra pissy when I started fricking one of them, who was objectively better. I don't think she liked my value climbing above hers.

My family was generally supportive. I think they didn't know what to say when I became a lard ass, and were happy to see me loving life and being fit and healthy again. I was a real athletic kid, fell off the wagon in university.

Friends were alright with it, I was able to go play sportsball with a few of them. Helped each other be more active. They weren't pushy when I started turning down drinks/pot/junk food when we would hang out.

    How do people get fat?

I figuratively eat a truckload of food daily, and I'm not fat.

By doing zero exercise, so their TDEE is barely any higher than their BMR. Combine that with high calorie, low satiety goyslop being easy and cheap to obtain, plus very poor knowledge on nutrition being the norm, and you get the perfect environment for fatasses to spawn. Your metabolism also slows past 25, so you’ll probably have to curtail your intake a little bit in the near future if you aren’t already older than that.

A lot of weight gain is not from eating as well, it's from sugary drinks like coca cola and other products

Just coca cola alone can give you severe obesity and diabetes, it is causing a lot of health problems in Latin America

But agua AKA h2O AKA water AKA life-giving nectar by itself is great for you. Coke is just water with sugar and coca leaf flavors. Used to have cocaine in it and coca leaf flavors.

saying you eat "five meals" is completely meaningless. How many calories are you eating every day, how tall are you, how much do you weigh, and how old are you?

None of those things are relevant to what I said. You said that I don't eat as much as I think I do, which would require me to be imagining food.

I know you're being a moronic homosexual on purpose, but what I meant is that you're not "figuratively eating a truckload of food daily". You're eating like a bird which is why you're a skelly

That's not true though. I'm eating exactly as much as I think I do, which is figuratively a truckload of food every day. More food than most of IST judging by diet routine threads.

Why are you so mad that I eat a lot of food? This is a weirdly autistic thing to want to argue about.

                Anonymous

The problem is that your subjective opinion of what constitutes a "truckload of food" is not objectively a lot of food, it's just your skinny dyel bird appetite telling you that you're eating a lot.
You need an objective measure of how much you're eating. A "figurative truck load" is not an objective measure, you need to actually count calories. The answer to your question is that you're not gaining weight because you're not eating enough to gain weight.

It's objectively a lot of food actually. Again this is weirdly autistic of you to want to argue about what I eat when you don't even know. It's an argument you can only possibly lose.

                >The answer to your question is that you're not gaining weight because you're not eating enough to gain weight.
The point of my post was that I objectively eat a lot of food and do not gain weight regardless while fat people do. Are you some sort of angry fatty?

How many calories is objectively a lot of food and how much do you weigh? Let's settle this.

The average person requires ~2500 calories per day. I eat more than twice that per day.

Literally everyone was supportive and impressed, even the other fatties. If they were seething internally, they definitely hid it well. My dad thought I was anorexic and mentally ill the whole time I was losing weight, but once I reached my goal and starting successfully maintaining my new physique for longer and longer he realised and admitted that he was worrying over nothing and that I was doing it properly from the start. I can’t hate him for worrying about me, even if it was out of ignorance. I kind of wanted certain people to be mad at me for it though, it would have been really funny to me. The people I was hoping would get mad about it were actually the most supportive, I like them a lot more now than I did when I started. Getting IST has literally no downsides, even if people get mad at you it’s still funny, evening it out.

Parents ignored it or didn't acknowledge it. They were quick to jump on me when I gained weight over COVID due to lack of activity and depression from losing my job, but when I lost it, they simply moved on and refused to acknowledge their own shitty behavior. That's just the kind of thing my parents do, one of the reasons I'm not close to them. Nothing is good enough; my successes are meaningless, and my failures are personal slights.

Friends were kind of in the same boat, so it was nice that we all got fit at the same time. Brought us closer together, too.

    No luck with girls, though.

I know this girl and her sister mocks her for losing weight, but her sister is morbidly huge

If you are not overweight or obese in the USA, you are in a minority statistically

Even though it causes cancer, heart disease, sleep apnea, diabetes, immune system issues, and all sorts of health problems

For women it is different, because people like big butts and all that, but for men it will just make you weaker and make it a lot harder to get women, and for both men and women it causes a lot of health problems

i come from a family of doctors. ironically enough though, they're all vehement keto supporters who genuinely think that doing stuff like eating sticks of butter is a genuine way to lose weight without macro/calorie counting.
I started losing weight at the start of this year and started at 101kg and got all the way down to 70kg at 6%bf at my leanest. at the start, my parents shunned me because they thought i was macro counting and such out of spite, which couldn't be further from the truth. then when they realised it was working, they all let go of themselves and got exponentially fatter.
im overseas visiting family back home at the moment, and they're all concerned for my health, and think that i'm somehow 'overdoing' it, which is just crazy to me.

To preface, my Dad spends most of his time in the California and Mexico region caring for our family and working as a farmhand supervisor. He came up and was very surprised, I recall he had what sounded like almost a crying voice when he saw me as he comes up every few months. He went down when I was ~270, came up and saw me at 220 with a lot more muscle. He's coming up again this February and I hope he's happy with how I've gotten even better than last time.

In terms of other family, my younger brother and second older brother joked about how they can't call me weak or super far anymore.
My eldest brother tried saying and convinced the others I had an eating disorder because my collarbone is pretty visible while the stomach still has fat, which he tried saying is "starving yourself" despite that just being genetic fat placement. He tries acting like a health expert because he watched occasional lifting videos despite not lifting for like a year, he also did barely any weight out of fear or some shit. His girlfriend is short, fat and annoying and the two of them have caused a bunch of problems in the family since he acts like a dickhead.

Sadly with my old time friends, they were pretty mad about it. They usually are negative about my eating choices or going to the gym. But I don't know why. I was home away because of college for a year and now they are pretty shitty to me.
