          No because it's all momentum. You are never resetting the energy of the first rep so you only need to add just a tiny bit each revolution to keep the movement going. Not only are momentum exercises dangerous but ithey also offer no gains at all.

        They’re actually great to do. For most people the “power” versions of these lifts are better for overall athleticism. The reason his happened is the guy was using straps, likely because he had been doing heavier pulls and still needed to get these snatches done afterwards, except he doesn’t know how to bail a snatch with straps on apparently. The scenario should have been him letting go and the bar falling behind him, instead he went full moron and went with the bar. This is why I tell people to just skip straps on full lifts, especially snatches.

    one day in one of the hardware labs at uni 4 people randomly decided to have a planking contest
    the guy who "won" was holding it like this, in fact his back was probably even more arched, nobody said anything
    2nd place guy was actually trying to do it properly
