there's literally no scientific evidence whatsoever that ketosis helps with fat loss yet morons treat it as some sort of a magical situation

if you do it right it just helps with feeling full so fat people who love food will eat less even if they're eating a lot of meat and frozen greens. i was on it for a half year and lost 50 lbs but that was 10 years ago and now i just do CICO because i have more control now

      >The present study shows the beneficial effects of a long-term ketogenic diet. It significantly reduced the body weight and body mass index of the patients. Furthermore, it decreased the level of triglycerides, LDL cholesterol and blood glucose, and increased the level of HDL cholesterol. Administering a ketogenic diet for a relatively longer period of time did not produce any significant side effects in the patients.

It's so weird how people are against lifting.

I believe the fedora AI guy refuses to do either.

I mean cardiovascular health is much more important than having big muscles... most people lift to try to get big and better looking, not really to have stronger and healthier muscles.

This. I train for SHTF and/or not being a wheelchair bound geriatric when I'm 80

They probably start from the premise that one trains the muscular system for the aesthetics, and thus is narcissistic. Why wouldn't they take the prepackaged excuse to not do something difficult?

      >cardiovascular health is much more important than having big muscles
This isn't about having big muscles, though. It's about having brute strength. And while cardiovascular health is still more important than that, having loads of brute strength is a very close second. It's worryingly easy to get stuck or injured doing random shit if you don't have the strength to get yourself out of that situation. Video very much related. Do you wanna be this guy?

Do cardio in case you have to run away from a wolf. Train for strength in case you can't run away from a wolf.

The actual reason is that muscularity is seen as overtly masculine and threatening by weak, effeminate beta males and bulldyke feminazis. They invent all kinds of post facto rationalizations but ultimately it all boils down to "strong man = evil".

For weak men in particular it's a sort of paradoxical mating strategy. They seek to endear themselves to the bulldykes by appearing unthreatening. Surprisingly, some of them even get to mate (though more often than not with no actual prospect of reproduction)

If we’re using OP’s pic as the ur example, it’s
      >lazy homosexual
      >got bullied by stronger guys as a kid and never moved past it, now his identity is solidified around being the stereotype of a nerd and viewing the world as if the jocks vs nerds thing from movies is realistic
      >unwilling to accept a mega ultra super genius like himself doesn’t have the discipline to do shit normal people accomplish all the time. He’s supposed to be so smart he can do anything, so if he can’t do something, that something MUST be stupid and lame, right? The problem can’t be HIM.

        >a mega ultra super genius like himself doesn’t have the discipline to do shit normal people accomplish all the time.
The ironic thing is that when I was faced with this realization instead of giving up and accepting it or going into denial, it made me start lifting and dieting instead.

If you actually think yourself smart, there is zero excuse to not be fit.

OP has an impressive torso-to-arm circumference ratio. Usually that kind of blob carries at least some fat in the arms too. Not easy to combine a 46" waist with 12" arms.

Fasting causes muscle loss, especially if you refuse to lift (he refuses to exercise at all).
Keto is also sub-optimal for muscle gain and preservation, because strict keto limits protein intake, and carbohydrate is generally much better than fat for muscle building.

Did this guy even fast? Or diet for that matter? From what I recall he did it for like a day then there’s another cap of him insisting his cells are just built different and losing weight isn’t possible.

Also he has a name like a /misc/ meme, how the frick is he even real?

Yeah, but sometime after the "metabolic disprivilege" post he went on a supervised high-protein 800 calorie a day fast supplemented with "exogenous ketones" and "ketochow":
          Pic related was the result.
          He regained the weight.
          Still will not exercise.

            >800 calorie a day
Top kek, imagine torturing yourself like that just to obtain a hairy noodle body then gain it all back anyway. Imaging thinking that’s easier than a 500 daily deficit and some lifting.

800cals a day is not a bad diet, but its a short solution and works only if giga fat, i started my diet with 800-900cals when i was 55%+ bf and lost 10-12kg in the first month, but after that had to increase to 1200-1300cals. This degenerate israelite should have hit the gym immediately after his low calorie diet and he would have seen good results even with his israeli body.

            Yudkowsky was so proud of:

that he hid it from other rationalists by wearing a towel and inflatable Santa belly during his mega diet, so he could shock them with it at some weird Soltice thing, after first quizzing them about their estimates of the probability he could get to 25% bf.
