The most jacked dudes I see lifting, that don’t compete in power lifting, use almost exclusively machines for legs, and dumbbells and machines for upper. Only time you see them touch a barbell is to hit heavy bench once a week.

Not him, but whatever muscle you want to see progress in, the only thing that you NEED to worry about is progressive overload. Eat well, sleep well, and PO and you'll hit your goals.
