I'm so glad I don't do any rowing variation anymore. Only seen my strength in the main compounds improve.

I do cleans/power cleans now instead and my back has only gotten bigger, plus my squat and ohp improved too

    used to include flat bench

now It's just low incline (30-40 degrees) dumbbell/barbell pressing and weighted dips

I hate this shit so much, so hard to progress on while keeping pristine form and without screwing your lower back or cheating. However, I can't seem to find a "complete" alternative, cables or t-bar feel good but not full body, if that makes any sense.

Best bet is probably pull ups. Other ideas include chest supported rows, single hand db rows, and pullovers.

I don’t bench anymore, it’s an inferior lift. I do ohp and push press now.

It's gonna be the lateral raise for me

Same, I dropped bench press from my routine since it's basically a glorified tricep exercise.

I suggest the straight-arm pulldown. I find rows exhausting since my arms give out easily and I'm doing a bastardized version of a deadlift.

Benchlets detected. If you don't feel it in your chest you need a better arch and leg drive. Also try a wider gripand a pause.

A wider grip will only decrease the pec ROM. But still bench is of course a chest exercise lol, does that dude think his triceps are strong enough to lift hundreds of pounds?

I can't stand bench press since it's my weakest lift. I just drop it in favor of pec deck flys and the chest press since it isolates the chest.

Are you the same anon who has been posting Delavier's drawings? I'd say your shilling his books but you rarely mention where the drawings are from so I don't think that's it.

These aren't bad at all, I just feel like the juice isn't worth the squeeze. I prefer running my incline bench, decline bench, and low to high cable flies instead. Also because you need to go really slow and stretch to feel a good pump on them they take a long time, when I could be doing other tit pump exercises like cable flies, which you just need to squeeze at the top to feel a pump and feels better anyways.

i get the same squeeze just turning the handles and touching at the top.
