I do it sometimes. when I do though I try extra hard to focus on fuzzy things. eye starts to feel "tired" about about 15-20min and then I take it off. seems to help. I had perfect eyes though close to 10/20 and one is just getting worse with age so I'm trying to keep it in shape

I did it for a month because I have nothing to lose and have been an eyelet my whole life. Been glasses free since and realize opticians slowly increase your prescription so you become addicted to being an eyelet for life until I saw this screenshot.

What was your prescription in diopters and how long did it take you to see results?
I'm on 1.5 weeks now and I see more clearly a few things after cycling for 3-5 hours, but it seems to wane off over time, I can't tell if I'm making gains or not.

I have a snellen chart in my rule, but the lowest line for me comes and goes. Do you have to do it for 12 hours a day?

It was 2.50+ but my eye doctor tried to prescribe to stronger lens in the 3.00+ and 2.75+. And this is before I learn about the eyepatch method. I did mines for 8 hours a day since I work remote. You'll make gains when the "eye strain" you get slowly wears off. I suggest you avoid glasses while doing the eyepatch.

          >Plus lens
Fuck, I'm Myopic. How the fuck is this supposed to help me if I'm nearsighted? You're like the 3rd person I've heard in these threads that said it worked but that it was coming from plus lens. Is this just the cure for Hyperopia, not Myopia, what 90% of people with bad vision have?

I got hyperopia but it should work with myopia. My reasoning is that if lazy eye can be fixed using an eyepatch switch, so can other exercises for near/farsightedness.

did you just stay in front of a computer mostly or did you go out and look at stuff/train the eyes on looking at things?

I can't tell if I'm making gains at this juncture because after patching for 4-6 hours and going outside, stuff that still was blurry before at a distance like certain road signs don't seem to be any clearer from what I can tell.

The shape of your eye also changes with hyperopia though

This is how you improve eye sight

    >restrict screen time to 2 hours
    >spend more time out in sunlight
    >reduce lens prescription slowly
    >do eye exercises to help keep them ciliary eye muscles stable

lens reduction takes fucking YEARS. I don't have 2 years to go down 0.5 diopters.

I have one eye with extremely fucked eyesight and I actually wore an eyepatch for several years as a kid to try and train it(it's a nerve issue, it can't be corrected with surgery like LASIK). It didn't help shit but it was normally prescribed by an ophthalmologist, not some kind of DIY broscience shit. You can get pic related which is an eyepatch that has a suction cup to be worn on the inside of glasses.
