You could say that about any thread though

What a gay in the OP walking with 110 lbs per hand. You need at least 4 45 lb plates on each handle.

      >You need at least
Depends on your strength and how long you are going for.

How long should I rest between sets? COME ON OP HELP ME OUT!

          yeah for bbqs

I dont DL so I do these instead, idk how much each handle weighs so I'm going to assume 10kg each, and I load about 70-80kg on each handle and do about an 10 meter walk per set, maybe 6 sets in total, how good is this? With a belt and knee sleeves

It's alright. Depends on your bodyweight but 100-120 per hand is when it starts to be considered good

Damn 240kg is a hefty fricking amount to be walking with, the one time I went over 190 for a DL i felt way too fricky, since then I've abandoned the exercise and stuck to squats, best choice I've made tbh, this way my cns and Lower back isnt fricking fried 5 days a week.

Most I've done is on a farmers walk 130kg per hand for 20m @ 100kg bw but i've stood still holding 150kg per hand for 10 seconds. Really good grip is 170+
              >best choice I've made
yeah gotta do what's best for yourself and your goals long term

    Why not just deadlift?

This trains unilateral balance, kind of like a barbell lunge. Some muscles, mostly in the trunk and hips, just aren't trained well with bilateral movements. They're actually hit harder by doing a suitcase carry, but you'd have to do twice as many sets and your traps and grip won't be the limiting factor, those deep core/back/hip muscles will be.

Depends on how heavy you're going and how gassed you are. When I do farmers walks I load at least 400 lbs total and walk about 120 feet. Take a pretty long rest as it gasses me good.

        Anonymous

My grip strength is shit so I've been doing 80 lbs dumbbells in each hand, walk about 200 feet and rest 30 seconds between sets. If I'm not tired enough when I reach the line I just stand for a while til I drop the weights. Should I lift heavier while walking a shorter distance?

0.5x body weight per arm if you're DYEL, 0.75x your bodyweight per arm if intermediate, 1x bodyweight per arm if you're stronk, 1.2x your bodyweight per arm if you're STRONK.

it isnt but it requires 20 years with absolute perfection in terms of diet and training and you need to do it full-time as a job.
but yeah the genetic natural limit for top 0,000000000000001% is indeed not bad.

alternatively you could just take 200mg test-e and look like that in a year while fricking around. boulder shoulders and traps too

    >Why aren't you doing this based exercise?
I am, anon. A few weeks ago I started fitting a ‘conditioning’ day into my schedule (I’m on defranco’s westside for skinny bastards program, so I’m only lifting 3 days a week)
It’s honestly the most excited I get to hit the gym. Sled pulls, medicine ball slams, farmers walks - that shit is exhausting and makes you feel strong as frick.

Are the mini portable handles ok for these? I don't wanna buy full sized handles just yet.

Same. My gym also has a rope so I can do rope climbing in my conditioning.

Any handle or db works as long as you can use a weight that still challenges you

What about plate pinch farmers walks?

Should work all those muscles with a emphasis on the forearms, thinking of supersetting that with bench press.
