You didn’t have any muscle to keep
If you had lifted and consumed enough protein when you weren’t fasting, you would have gained muscle

So going by the file names you cut for 10 months from September21 to now and you're upset you didn't gain any muscle? You didn't really lose much either. How much did your lifts go down?

bro what kind of fasting were you doing, and how did you not notice it wasn't working for you after lmao10 months ?

I've only been fasting 3-4 months. I would fast for 24-48 hours, then do omad for a day or two, then fast for another 24-48 hours. It was hard to maintain, and every week or so I would lose control and binge 2-4k calories.

The first thing to go was all my muscle, and at two months in I was a really unpleasant skinnyfat. At that point I considered stopping, but figured that since I had already lost all my muscle I might as well continue. This seems to have been a good choice-- my lifts haven't gone down much since but I've lost the skinny fat. Now I'm just skinny.

All in all its been a terrible four months, but I'm feeling good about getting my gains back. For the past week or two I've been doing 1200 cals/day to maintain while I work out a bulking strategy. I'm trying to find a bulking diet that is reasonably healthy and won't make me fat again. My top candidate right now is an unprocessed food only bulk with chicken and fish for protein and no red meat. It seems good on paper, but i'm so used to processed food I've been struggling to choke down even 1200kcal of unprocessed food. I'm also worried about the protein-- beans don't have nearly so much protein as I thought.

First of all, you look good. If you think you look jacked in the first one…you don’t. Now you have a lean body to tack muscle into. You’re in a good spot, OP. Keep up the good work. Fasting takes mental strength, so you can be proud of that. Institute a lean diet for adding lean muscle without getting fat. You’re gonna look great!

This is the answer. Maybe he should have just trained hard for a year instead, but what's done is done. Now time to build up muscle and strength.

It started a few months ago when I saw some old friends and realized everyone I went to high school was was now overweight. I started making note of the people I saw at the grocery store and gas station. What I saw horrified me. They were almost all fat, and so many of them looked sick or crippled. They didn't walk right. I remember seeing a woman in her 30s drop a dog leash and lean down precariously to pick it up. When she got a hold of it she jerked her dog's collar to punish him. She was angry and scared by the task of picking something from the floor.

From what I can tell the typical American in my area is fricked by the time he's 30, and I'd been eating a typical American diet for 25 years. I wanted to do something extreme, so I tried fasting. That hasn't worked well, so I'm looking for alternatives. For the past few days I've been trying an unprocessed food only diet, but I'm so used to sugary/fried food I can barely get down 1200 calories of unprocessed food. I have to force myself to eat it because I would rather fast until I'm weak and then eat fast food. Hopefully my stomach hardens up with time.

Clearly I haven't found the answer yet, but I know I have to keep trying. Doing nothing leads to sickness and death.

You weren't even at a point where fasting was necessary. Wtf is with some of you homies?

    >OP transforms from skinnyfat to skinny
    i don't see the issue
like most people hovering around 20%bf, you vastly overestimated how much muscle you actually had.
be grateful you learned this lesson quickly instead of spinning your wheels for years. now go lift and eat.

you don't know what you're talking about, do you?
Pic 1 was after 2 years of casual training and dirty bulk. My lifts were in the intermediate range. Now they are below novice.

        >2 years of casual training and dirty bulk
        >"hurr i don't train hard"
        >"hurr i don't eat properly"
you reap what you sow. if you thought you looked at all impressive in the before pic you're deluded. yes it's true you did lose some muscle but, like everyone else said, you barely had any in the first place. now stop being a little homosexual and start taking this shit more seriously if you want results.
