Fellow wagies, how do you get the energy to do workouts after work? Like a heavy squat session.

Fellow wagies, how do you get the energy to do workouts after work? Like a heavy squat session. I don’t want to take caffeine or pre workout because itll affect my sleep but I’m worried I’m gonna injure myself or something because my brain feels fried and I’m not hyped up at all. At the very least I’m not gonna perform at my best.

I reduced leg day to once a week and embraced cardio. A run after work reinvigorates me.

      Fricking this.

Also OP, you need to have reasons/a purpose to serve outside of yourself that makes your inherent sense of selfishness dwarf in comparison. The people I help at work sometimes piss me off and I can't tell them where to go, so lifting is my outlet. I put my anger & frustration on the bar.

Y'know, in addition to my other life goal reasons.

Fortunately my kid wakes the whole house up at 5:30am every day so I'm always up for a morning gym session.

i never feel like lifting. i pass out on my way home.
but i never skip. i found that after my warmup exercise, im fully awake and energized.
the hardest part is getting in the gym. if you force yourself to put on your shoes and go, you're golden

    Up at 6
    Work at 7
    Out by 3
    Workout around 4ish with preworkout
Do whatever I need to do till like 1030 when I fall asleep

Try getting in some fast sugar before a workout if you feel low energy, something like some gummy bears or even fruit leather is good

I have to go straight from work to the gym. Any break between them and I lose any willpower to work out. Can’t work out before work; takes me hours to recover.

At the last hour of work when almost everyone has gone home, I drink a cup of coffee and go to the bathroom and do like 50-100 pushups which takes me a few minutes. This leaves me relatively energised
