Fighters

Most of them are twinks and are delusional. They think they can take on a bear because "weight classes don't matter" lmao. Lift some weights, skelly. In truth they would lose any street fight with anyone that lifts seriously.
>b-but I'm lightning speed like an anime character!
Sure, bud. Doge THIS
>b***h slaps you out of existence
oh you dodge? Oh, you threw a punch? COUNTERED with a surprise b***h slap, LOL. Oh, you threw a kick? BAM I countered with my own kick that generates more power. You punched my stomach? BOOM, your fists just broke from punching my chiseled abs. You got a luck punch in? I rolled with it to minimize most of the impact. Oh, you grappled me? BAM you got slammed by concrete. Oh you did a flying kick? KABOOM I grabbed your leg and did a dragon throw.
Eat some food, skinny. You're not intimidating anyone nor beating anyone with decent sense and a decent build.

Why do people get started with martial arts? Because they were bullied. How do you get bullied? By being a twink. Who bullies you? A bigger guy. The martial arts meme is that some magic technique will somehow make you immune to size advantage. Sure if you're fighting absolute morons. But even bodybuilders do muay thai and bjj now because gyms are as common as starbucks. Martial arts is a magnet for insecure copers. How often do you even get in a "street fight"?

Exactly. Lifting and martial arts naturally compliment eachother. It boggles the mind how so many people think it's either the one or the other.

Weight class matters a lot. A dude who's 230 will usually manhandle a guy who's 160. The most efficient way to protect yourself without bloatmaxing is learn to strike hard. A clean right into a fatties nose will be enough to disorient him and you either follow up with extreme aggression or you GTFO.

    t. has been in many fights throughout high school and early 20's. Lost some, won some. And trained with a semi pro boxer.

      >A dude who's 230 will usually manhandle a guy who's 160
Motherfricker those are like 6 weight classes apart. Fricking no shit (and to be honest that's still not always true. DJ who walks around at 150 will rape Bradley Martin who's 260)

In real actual life though you don't fricking meet lean 230 lbs people, they are insanely rare and usually have 0 cardio. And by the same token almost nobody walks around at fricking 160 lbs.

In actual real life you will see lean 200lbs people MAYBE SUPER RARELY up to 220 lbs. And you would be MAYBE 175 lbs but really 180-190lbs.

And with that ACTUAL REAL LIFE weight difference, any meaningful skill gap will completely trump this weight difference.

    >"weight classes don't matter"
But they do, that's why they exist and that's why fighters do everything from starving to dehydrating themselves with dieuretics to get into a lower category to get an advantage.
That's why a 6'3 240lbs powershitter with the basic fighting experience would totally anally annihilate a 5'6 MMA champ manlet like McGregor with ease, link related:

weight classes exist because you're watching 2 equally trained skilled people fight
being 30lbs heavier than someone means absolutely nothing when you can't even throw a punch or get into a stance.

powershitter had decent technique, seemed like he trained a bit before maybe. Now imagine if he really forced his weight on him like a wrestler in any of the neutral positions.

This is where having a powerlifting background makes you really hard to handle. You have mass and a shit ton of core strength which, once you learn how to apply leverage properly, makes you incredibly difficult to submit. Going from powerlifting(not even super advanced, I had like a 1250 total) to BJJ once I conditioned to that kind of endurance, it was very hard for anyone that wasn't significantly more skilled than me to submit me if we were hard rolling. All the other former powerlifters were the same way.

Lmao honestly in these fights you always get the sense that even if they're fighting a top tier athlete (eg McGregor) once they catch them it's really over. They could snap them like a gorilla would snap your average human.

Pro athletes ring fighting and street fighting is as relevant as Usain Bolt trying to outrun me on my car. I have a right to defend myself and will do so if you threaten me, my family or my property; it don't matter how big or strong you are. You WILL get shot around here for trespassing. Sometimes by a woman who can barely walk.

I used to train at an MMA gym that shared a space with a bodybuilding gym, pretty common to get bodybuilders on the mats. They have strength and some of them even have a bit of endurance, but generating power is as much technique as it is strength. They usually muscle through the grappling for 30-60 seconds then gas and become easy to manage. And on the striking side, they try to use their arm and leg muscles to generate power instead of their core. Which untrained noobs also do, but for strong people it almost works so it becomes harder to break them of that habit.
Once they get over that hump though they make great fighters because few people have the discipline to train and diet the way good bodybuilders do and of course being strong on top of skill is useful for fighting.

so a manlet MMAgay can handle a jacked bodybuilder in a fight a long they are following the sparring rules of the gym.
      ok then

        >implying that new people follow any of the sparring rules and aren't notorious for spazzing out at 100% intensity before becoming butter in your hands
And please don't imply that hard sparring isn't correlated to general fighting performance. You sound like a trad martial artist sour graping MMA because his style got humiliated in a Vale Tudo match. If you can dominate a man with gloves on, you can dominate him with gloves off too.
        >bro I'll just see red and go for an eye gauge!
        Have fun with that.

At one point in time I was a 175 pound semi pro fighter. I was also a "bouncer" at a trendy nightclub popular with the local pro bodybuilding scene. I beat a few of them senseless and choked two of them unconscious on different occasions before they realized that all of their gay muscle worship mass was useless against me. After that they fricked off to somewhere they hadn't been embarrassed by someone 80 pounds lighter than them.

Speed is contingent on muscle, not size.
insects, snakes, frogs, etc, are not fast because they are objectively speaking smaller than a man, they are fast because if they were mansized their muscular would be 250x that of the average human.
The fastest runners have huge leg muscles and are typically very tall
The fastest technical types are all farmermaxxed boomers.

there is no speed without muscle
small men can never be as fast a large muscular man.
stop this childish view of speed

Not the fastest runners anon, the fastest sprinters. Kipchoge may be the most famous long distance runner and he is quite short, less than 170cm, and about 50kg.
