There is a nonstop tsunami of midgets telling you to NOT lift to failure though.

      >lift every set to failure
If you're doing a reasonable number of reps what's the issue with this? I lift to failure guys.....

Me too. Seems right and hi-test.

How would the hive mind define "failure"? I try to lift so I'm 1-2 reps short of my last set, if I can finish I add more weight next time.

Working sets are within 2-3 reps from failure.

Also, to the anon who says "every set is 1-2 short of my last set", this is terrible. Your sets need to look the same for the same amount.

For the last set do it with half the weight until absolute failure (as in, you literally fail mid rep).

Yeah, not doing that on bench or one of the regulars will come and save me and I'll be forced to talk to someone

Deadlift literally is a back exercise you Black person.
Hint: "back" does not have to mean "lats".

Don't lift every set to failure, but most people's idea of failure isn't actually failure anyway. 99% of gym goers don't train intensively enough, but stay in the gym for ages doing muh junk seeeets

I have this friend who basically has no life, he works as a hotel cleaner all day then goes home to eat shitty frozen foods, watch youtube and play games.
He's the kind of guy who watches one youtube video on something and thinks he's an expert on it, it's so funny to hear the shit he says cause a lot of it is clearly stuff that he's listened to out of context but he doesn't realise it:
    >Lifting weights is better for losing weight than cardio
(He watched a video about cutting where the guy would have said "you should lift weights while losing weight to maintain muscle mass")
    >Salt is bad for you
    >Vegetables are bad for you, jordan petersen says so
    >I bet that 'tofu' shit you're eating has a tonne of chemicals in it
Said to me eating organic tofu that has 3 ingredients, while he's drinking a monster lmao

Every successful bodybuilder/influencer is eating 1.5g of protein per pound at least. Up your intake.
