Absolute ego lift that does literally nothing.

It either makes your back super strong or destroys it. It's the chaddest lift

This. It left me unable to move without pain for 2 months and unable to lift for another 6months after. Pretty based of it but if I ever do it again I'm hiring a coach to teach me instead of trusting fricking ripple breasts videos + mirror.

You don't need to deadlift if you don't want too but you should avoid signaling you're a moron to others

Builds the spinal erectors like crazy and either makes you or (literally) breaks you depending on how your form is. Name a better exercise for getting thick around the SE's and really strong and I'll concede that I'm wrong

if DL does nothing for you you're doing them wrong
      also post back or gtfo

During the year I was writing my dissertation I was sitting at home a lot, and only leaving to go to the gym. I was getting lower back pains.
Decided to include deadlifts in training.
    Lower back pains went away

    Thank you based deadlifts

sorry anon, DL is a good exercise, but the only thing in this world worthy of being labeled “based” are thick asian girls, when I get one I’m gonna raw creampie her pussy first chance I get

    >fixes your lower back
How so? Deadlifts are the biggest injury prone lift out there, by far.
    >Improves your posture
Cope. Can be done without the deadshit.
    >causes backlets to seethe
Again, cope. Rows bb/seated on machine, pull ups, pull downs ALL completely mog deadlifts from a hypertrophy stand point
Proof that deadlifts are a dyel ego lift exercise: Go to youtube, search "DEADLIFT PR" and filter by most recent

      >Deadlifts are the biggest injury prone lift by far
It's amazing that the simplest barbell lift out there has gotten turned into this super scary lift. Anyway this is objectively false:

      >Earlier studies that have reported injury incidence and prevalence among powerlifters,3–8 as well as questionnaire studies,6 8 have shown that many injuries are training related: subelite to elite lifters report that 22%–32% of their injuries are related to the squat, 18%–46% to the bench press and 12%–31% to the deadlift exercise.

Basically, any exercise is an injury risk. I think this study pretty much shows, that injury comes from lifting too much, so 90% of IST would be okay doing DLs.

dangerous and ego are my 2 favorite words, and if it isnt the same for you then you shouldnt be here

Only thing "dangerous" you get yourself into is the amount of McDoubles you shovel into your mouth pre 1kg PR after switching to a wide stance, belted exactly 90 degree LB squat you bloated c**t, I'd feel more danger with you ahead of me on a 5% incline hike and having to stop a 220kg serac tumble down the hill after you fail to catch your breath at the trailhead, fricking moron

hearty kek. Looks like he opened his radial artery; inside of arm, bright blood and big spray. Good shit, in his state no wonder he bled out.

I love deadlifts, they are so fun and rewarding. But going past 90% just leaves me feeling like a zombie for the next 3 days.
Also close stance good mornings are a great accessory

Bent over row is better hypertrophy-wise. Only good DL is the RDL for hypertrophy. I like the conventional and sumo deadlift for a long list of reasons, but I'm interested in being big, not being a dyel whose only thing going for him is that he can pull 6pl8 off the floor

I haven't seen someone have huge spinal erectors who focus on hyper extensions over deadlifts. Any examples you can point to? Genuinely curious

I think most people in track and field focus on hypers, though I wouldn't say you could go without doing a heavy pull of some sort, deadlifts are a sort of a meme lift though when the clean exists
