this. it sucks that so many white families destroy themselves this way. all other ethnicities stick together and build wealth via multi generational homes, moving their kids into rentals owned by the parents. whitoids just discard them 1 second past turning 18 years old and say shit like "renting isn't throwing money away" and then wonder why their kids are such demoralised gays with no ambition to work in the Amazon slave plantation just to make enough to pay to live in a shared apartment with 8 other Black folk

same. i found out later in life that the reason i grew up so chubby and unathletic is becuase none of my parents knew how to cook. We got takeout and fastfood often when i grew up.

I blame the fast food culture for this obesity crisis. Cooking whole meals at home and not eating out will guarantee you to get fit.

It is easier for me to stay fit when I am visiting family or staying with them.
    >never get takeout, home-cooked well-balanced meal at regular intervals.
    >go to bed at a normal hour, make sleep gains.
    >Chores are divided so more time and motivation to go to the gym.
    > No late-night binging (Anon, why are you eating garbage from the fridge, do you hate your mum's cooking?)

Of course my family has good eating habits (parents are boomers who don't believe in lifting but are heavy into calisthenics, brother/ sister-in-law lift and are outdoorsy).

I will never move back or live with them long-term but I always visit for a couple weeks when I want to cut.

Many people that move out end up living with their parents again for a short time in the future to save money. But even during the time they are saving money, it only lasts about a year or less so they end up having to live frugally again once on their own.
I actually feel bad for people who save to live a more luxurious lifestyle instead of accepting they are poor and have to live that lifestyle.

I moved out when I was 18 to go to school. Wasn't fit before that, just skinnyfat. Gained a lot of weight, lost a bit, gained some more. At 22 I looked at a picture form my wedding and I was like "damn I really gotta lose that weight". I was 5'11" 193lbs at the heaviest I weight in, but I think I was even a bit heavier but I was afraid to hop on a scale. Not sure I ever went over 200lbs. Since then, I've cut down to 161lb (sitting at about 165lbs now). I've got a home gym and my wife and I both cook pretty healthy, so it helps. My dad cooked healthy when I was growing up, though. The biggest thing is learning good habits. If you need to move out to do that, then do it. Don't blame anybody else for your health.

I moved out at 17 out of necessity (abusive dad and middle of the woods) and in general it was easy to get myself to the gym because I was lonely and bored in a city with no connections and nothing to do

Not the same anon, but you are projecting hard. I'm 30 now but I used to bring girls home all the time a couple years ago (body count in double digits,) and they never gave a frick about my living at home. I'd often try to hide my family away from hookups, out of a sense of shame, but sometimes they'd introduce themselves anyway. One girl even started playing the baby grand piano in the entry hall. I am not bragging though-- if it sounds like we're living in a mansion, that couldn't be further from the truth. We live in a fricking townhouse. This was an absolutely shameful time of my life, and I'm only telling you this because women simply DO NOT give a frick. If you're hot and have charisma, they'll follow you home. Once they're there, you'd have to be fricking Chris Chan or Jeffery Dahmer to scare them away from that dick. By then, they are fricking committed.

On a more positive note, thank fricking God I found a great girl to wife up, because I sadly still haven't been able to move out yet. She talks to my family all the time in order to get to know them better, and is also living at home. Not only that, she is a long-haired tomboy who absolutely HATES Black folk. I may be a poor fricking old homosexual living at home at 30, but I am living the goddamn IST dream. WAGMI bros.

Incidentally, I train multiple times a week and my girlfriend loves it. We are both IST and often workout together in the nude. The living situation isn't that bad because we've all learned to keep our distance from each other, and we enjoy a high amount of privacy despite our relatively close quarters. In spite of all this, I still want to move the frick out so that I can finally feel like a fricking human being.

My mom is a cortisol goblin which is just the nice way of saying she has BPD and enjoys conflict/drama. I'm convinced she coasted off her whole entire diabetic, cortisol depleted 40s and 50s simply through the sheer strength of cortisol harvesting from her own children, me and my brother.
Anyways I seen her recently, along with estranged dad and brother in a video call and god did they look gloomy and dead inside...
You can't make a horse drink. I tried to help my brother like I could. Whatever...I'm healthier where I live now but I still have some obstacles to challenge re:my living situation. Absolutely. You get to form your own diet, set your sleep schedule without being constantly hounded. Your schedule is way more flexible, and there's no constant peer pressure telling you "you're healthy enough already you don't need to get skinnier it isn't good for you!", "why are you eating so much, eat more slowly and chew your food. You're goung to get fat if you eat 3000 calories a day!" "I read on an article online that gluten is bad for you so we don't have bread in the house anymore, and none of that whey steroid stuff. Taking drugs isn't the way to be healthy anon".

I suppose it depends on who raised you, I was raised by my grandma. She would literally take the door off my bedroom if she felt like I was hiding something from her, and inserted her own diet politics on everything. Love her to death, can't stand living with her. Tbh that's another benefit, your relationship with your family really does magically get better the second you put some distance out.

tl;dr: it's harder but rewarding at the same time.
When as a child, I didn't have proper parenting and my dad even left us.
When as teenager, I tried to kill myself.
After high levels of depression I started to look into topics like existentialism, tree of life, Gnosticism etc. I managed to snap out of it all but when I finally looked at myself, I was a degreeless loser weighting 120kg.

Found then a shit outsourced office job, started lifting and reduced to ~80kg. Loose skin everywhere (see pic 1, 2019). After some more years got an average Business degree, broke up with ex and managed to escape the shithole of a country I lived in.

Then I moved out and noticed.... how blindly ignorant I was, for the past 20 years, because I never actually left my confort zone. How spoiled you are because there's no actual struggle when someone's taking care of you, how narrow minded you can be, as in, lack of empathy etc. But now that life is tougher, it's difficult to eat properly (i.e. lack of time and/or money to do things) and you eventually deviate from proper form. I got to +90kg (pic2, end of 2021).

In the end it's the best thing I've ever done and I had a ton of luck. Luck that many did not and usually don't have, be it because they lost everything due pandemic or even worse: because they got everything in life on a silver platter from clueless parents who are never home to raise then (like my father) and they end up not knowing what actual struggle is. Any effortless reward without struggle isn't your own success.
Had I moved out with a fixed job from start or in a more favorable situation, maybe I wouldn't have fricked up these extra 10kg but I'm actually glad I did because I couldn't wait anymore.
For the past few months things have improved and I am managing to get back on track and eat properly, I must be under 90kg, need to weight myself again.

I never moved out, I simply took out a morgage and got us a bigger house (previous one was just a 2 room flat). I would never want to move away from my mother and brothers. They're far too near to my heart, I feel like everything would break if I left them. My mother earns minimum wage and my younger brothers are barely just out of schooling. Me leaving would just put them in an awful situation where they would struggle just as much as we did when it was just my mother earning money.
There's no privacy for me but I wouldn't trade my family for the world.

    >did you find that doing so made it easier to stick to staying fit?
obviously having your own fridge and pantry makes nutrition a lot easier than living in constant temptation surrounded by normie's beer, cheese, butter, cake, chips, soda and chocolate.
if you live with people who take care of themselves, there will be no difference. Might even be negative if the time you use for meal prep and laundry would have otherwise been spent on fitness. (this doesn't count if you spend more time on IST than fitness)

      >move out
      >you get problems
      >you deal with some, you can't deal with others
      >you get fricked

      >don't move out
      >you get problems
      >you deal with some, you can't deal with others
      >you get people that want and can help you to help you
      >you thrive

I don't get it with you people, who told you that you can't be "a real man" or other trash like that if you don't move away from your family? Renting israelites on TV or what? "Just leave goy so you can pay us rent and live paycheck after paycheck".

from my experience, parents are more likely to bail you out once you move out because you aren't living under their thumb and they don't want to lose you, but at the same time don't want you moving back in.

    >live together with my parents in our big ass mansion
    >go to work together my dad
    >mother stays at home and paints, sings and cooks us amazing meals
    >meet a qt gym girl
    >invite her to my home for a meal
    >tell her my parents will not bother us too much
    >"oh wow anon you live with your parents wow you must be old school"
    >pretty sure she thinks I am a loser at this point, I am also driving a 2010 honda civic
    >ask her where is she living
    >"oh I am living with another girl in our 40 square meters rented apartment I can't IMAGINE living with my parents"
    >drive her home
    >park my 2010 honda civic near my dad's volvo V90 and my mom's tesla
    >she is silent
    >invite her to the dining room where my parents are
    >mother makes us lasagna
    >we chat while we eat
    >frick her afterwards
Afterwards she told me just how nice it for me to live with my parents and how she wished she lived in a great house environment. Pretty sure she wants to be my girlfriend and live together with me. She's quite nice should I do it?

then absolutely, bro. honestly, get to know her, move it along quickly, get married and start pumping out babies as soon as possible.

don't give her brainwashed friends enough time to try and crabbucket her back into a life of debt and ~~*fun*~~. I'm in a similar situation, except no parents' house to use as a stable backdrop, but I'm moving forward anyways, even though I'm poor as shit.

    Depends on your family.
I still live with my family since I dont want to rent and living expenses are very low when I share the bills with my family members.
I have a friend who lived with a abusive mom and gambling and alcoholic dad and as soon as high school was done he moved out.
If you have a normal family then moving out isnt worth it due to the cost alone.

Also I enjoy living with my family since I have people to talk to and be honest with it makes a nice change from professional settings.
