    I prefer either Pendlay rows or DB cheat rows. Together, they make the bent over BB row obsolete.

    I still do it but but it's borderline impossible to progress on it after a certain point without cheating

        It's all about training your whole body to pull something towards itself with enthusiasm. Not a fussy lat isolation exercise. So let er rip with heavy weight, I usually do 275 for sets of 8, going for 315*5

    I hit 2pl8 3x8 and accepted that I hate it. I only do chest supported now.

        I just don't like the way it feels. I feel chest supported way more in the muscles I'm actually trying to hit and I can go heavy with a grip that works the rear delts more.

      it uses hamstrings a lot, if i do rdls before they get absolutely fried from these rows

    If I want to work my lower back, there are better exercises. If I want to work my upper back, there are better exercises.
