For the wristlets among you, there is hope. I actually did it, I increased my wrist circumference by half an inch. It's a negligible difference but it increased from 16.5cm (6.5 inches) to 18cm (7 inches). You can't grow bone and tendon but some of you may have muscle insertions reaching up to your wrist, which you can grow. So don't give up until you try.

I don't have any before and after pics and the difference irl is minimal. I realised when I had to adjust all my watch bracelets which I hadn't worn since spring. As I said I measured my wrists at 16.5cm and now they measure at 18cm (picrel). I'll also post what I mean by muscle insertions in a bit
      >it's just swelling from the heat
      Unlikely, it's 16c where I'm currently at

And here is where the muscle insertion is most visible. The highlighted area is pure muscle growth, you can see where my wrist used to end by the shadow cast by the wrist bone right above the highlighted area. So to summarise, you CAN grow your wrist IF you have the right muscle insertions (genetics) but you don't know if you do until you try. Hope I have been helpful.

Barbell rows, ez bar curls, wrist curls and deadhangs give me the best pump. The only isolation I do for forearms is wrist curls.

how many days a week? rep range? did you have 'wrist day' or just add to push/pull where appropriate? Did you sacrifice strength gainz elsewhere?

I deadhang after every workout to stretch my spine, back and shoulders. I train rows (3x8) two times a week, ez bar wrist curls (3x12-15) and ez bar curls (3x6-8) around 3 times a week.
        >wrist day
That sounds plain silly lol, growing my wrists was a byproduct not a goal

Bones get bigger and denser from muscles pulling on it, impact force or hormones. Small bit of muscle means it is possible but takes a lot longer. Best bet is wrist curls along with heavy weights, forearm walking and taking mk677 or hgh

well those are the things that fricking matter homie
Who fricking care if your wrist looks slightly thicker due to muscle.
It's the bones and tendons that determine HOW MUCH muscle you can grow there.

    Fellow wristlet here.

incorporated this into my weekly routine. Slight size gains, but mobility has gone up significantly, grip strength has increased and best of all it pretty much fixed my extensor digiti minimi pains which led me to not be able to do chinups and curls.

    3x 15-20 underhand fingercurls
    3x 15-20 overhand wrist curls
    3x 15-20 vertical (fap curls)
    3x 15-20 finger pushups against a wall
    Deadhangs x failure x 3

Take care of your wrists bros. If they start hurting it will severely hinder your progress.

Paul Wade recommends doing finger push ups in 3-5 range for safety. I'm not exactly sure about the logic of it, but that's what I've been doing.

Do you guys think that punching the heavy bag is a good way to get thicker wrists? Every boxer at my MMA gym has meaty wrists, but then again it could be reverse correlation that people with strong wrist gravitate to boxing. In any case I feel that punching has made my wrists stronger, dont know about difference in size tho.

      Anonymous

That correlation would probably only apply to professional fighters, average guys who just like to fight will fight no matter how small or big their wrists are

      correlation not causation.
punching things can cause your fingers and wrist to swell up and given enough time can stay this way.
this is a symptom of developing the early stages of arthritis though and is not a good thing.

wrist are almost entirely genetic m8, sorry to tell you. You can always make tendons and muscles stronger. you can't change the outright circumference of your bones though. More accurately stated, you can't change them without extreme methods.
I know a guy (not literally, but read up on him and his fighting background) that started punching particle boards and such and moved up to bricks.
His bones developed in his hands, wrist, and arm developed to match the impact.
He also developed arthritis symptoms a few years later.

      nothing without sacrifice.

Why would I want to grow my wrists? Big wrists just make you look worse. I have average sized hands but I get compliments on them because they look big on my small wrists. No one will assume you're weak and frail because of small wrists unless you're a skeleton. Smaller wrists can actually have the opposite effect where you'll look stronger because your hands and forearms will look bigger in comparison. Cankles and fridgemode aren't good looks and the same concept applies to your wrists

Is there a way to heal an injured wrist? It got hit by a strongly shot ball and that was months ago and i still feel some pain when it's in a certain position and since it's my right one i use it for mouse so can't really rest it.

I have had surgery to fix my wrists. They removed bone from my legs and put in on my wrists. Gained like 5 cm
