I have a blister forming on the bottom of my foot and have to run, jump rope, and box on it for hours a day every day for the next month leading up to a match. It is in the same spot as picrel and I have to pivot constantly on it when throwing punches and moving, what do I do?
there is no bubble yet also I don't know if I'm able to stop it from forming but resting isn't really an option unless it can heal in one or two days.
you're just gonna have to tank it if resting isn't really an option, had a similar blister from walking 20 miles daily and it took 10 days to heal
I will probably end up just toughing it out if I can't figure out anything to do about it by tomorrow
I will keep this in mind if it fills with fluid, there's no bubble forming yet though I just feel the skin disconnected. After I drain it will I be able to exercise on it or is that just gonna make it peel on it's own?
By the second day when i drained it I was able to walk and go to the gym without it peeling off. The key is to prick it with a hole as small as possible. I peeled it after like 3 weeks when it was all dried up.

I fight in a little over three weeks against someone more experienced and bigger, I've got a lot of work to do. I can't just take a week off over a blister.
I think staying off your feet for 2 weeks and then getting in on the last week would be a good bet. You cant fight if your foot is fricked up. You NEED to get off it.

I'm just new to the sport. I've been slowly upping my training to the 20 minutes of jumprope followed by 12 rounds of shadowboxing or bag work and 4 miles at night that I do now 5 days a week. I spar one day a week for 8 rounds and do pad work with my coach once a week. I wasn't athletic at all before this and want to make sure I'm in the best possible shape I can be in for my first fight when I'm not used to the adrenaline dump. Why would I be happy about sitting a week or two out?

I made the thread to see if there was anything to do to mitigate the blister, it isn't even a bubble yet. I'm not claiming to be an expert but I know it'll hurt my performance to just be taking weeks off from training and sparring right before my fight. If there was a way to make it not get worse then I could continue training, which is why I made a thread asking.

or get sports toe socks, that sit on your feet snugly all around. The friction will still happen when you make your moves, but it will be between the shoe and sock, not your sock and your foot.
Also check if you can tighten laces in specific spots of the shoe to reduce movement.

If it is just a hot spot and not developed into a blister just add some sort of padding between your foot and the shoe

I had one twice that size in both heels, it hurt so bad the next day I could barely walk. I finally decided to pop it, I did it with a clean needle, a tiny prick, and let all of the fluid out.
Pain was immediately gone, I wish I did that shit on first day.
I didnt peel the skin tho, you will go through agony if you do that, just let it dry out on its own after pricking it.
leukotape, use it for long distance hiking all the time, cover it and forget it.

I wrote surgical tape, but I also meant leukotape (didn't know the english term). I use it all the time for kendo.
get some hydrocolloid bandages, they help a lot
will also try this but I train out of an mma gym so I spar barefoot on mats. I'm assuming it wouldn't stay on when I'm moving and pivoting around but maybe I could wrap some tape over it.

I train barefoot in my garage but honestly I should be training with shoes at this point anyways since I'm gonna need to wear them for the boxing match. There's normally mats on the ground but they're fricked up so I took them out and my feet weren't used to the concrete floor since it's been like a year of mats. I'm just used to barefoot since I train out an mma gym with the goal of transitioning to mma after I get my grappling up to par.
I guess that make sense. I'm a soldier and one of the most important lessons you learn in the Army is to take good care of your feet. If you have a reason to train barefoot then keep at it I suppose, but if you're gonna be doing heavy footwork invest in good padded socks.
It will heal the fastest and "best" if you don't rip it, but it's not the end of the world if it does. Either way just tape it, common surgical tape stays on pretty well as long as you anchor it. Run the tape around your foot over the blister and then anchor the tape with one or two extra pieces pf tape that goes through the toes.

I do a lot of running which leaves blisters in other places so I'll probably pick up some padded socks, thanks for the advice.

It's just a ring that goes around the blister. The hole lets the blister through without putting any pressure on it.
Just make a donut. You can use foam, i do it all the time for footy players
OP READ THIS, this always works. Pop it, drain it, peel away the skin. If you leave it you’re leaving a cavity that you can’t wash that’ll get infected p nasty. You will feel pain but if you can tough it out, what I do is I smack with an open palm the red skin until it doesn’t hurt anymore. Smack it a few more times real hard for good measure, put some neosporin, a big band aid and you’re good to go

Ah i see, you're just moronic. You're basically a waste of space but in the event someone who isn't moronic is reading this i'll drop some knowledge on you. The skin, even when lose acts as a barrier between your wound and the environment which prevents infections and allows the wound to stay moist and moist wounds heal almost twice as fast as ones that aren't. Do not listen to the bullshit advice that cuts need to "air out". Keep them covered and let them heal and they will heal faster.
This is just basic first aid 101 shit you learn as a kid. I can't imagine being so sheltered and inexperienced to not know moist wounds heal significantly faster.

Double socks. Running socks only (without seams). To prevent swelling in the feet due to the excess sock material I like to put knee high compression socks, and then I throw a regular pair of running socks over those

My experience with blisters:
Pop it
Put some fake skin patches over it. The pressure releases once you pop it so if you put something over it you can still stand on it. I had a buddy who used to pop them and cover them with salt. He said it hurt like a b***h when he did it but they heal a lot faster since they dry out the skin under it faster.
Once it heals it will form as a callous. Blisters are the beginning stages of callouses.
