Fuck Lifting

Frick lifting. I'm cancelling my gym membership and doing only calisthenics now. Enjoy your useless gains, you all-bark-no-bite steroid abusing freaks. I'll be enjoying my real and practical strength, while remaining my agility.

The gym machines are intimidating and I don't like people looking at me.

For me it's squats and I don't like touching metal

Very based. Add plastic and polyester and goysneed oil (and pharmaceuticals) to that and you'll be on your way to perfect health.

Based, calisthenics routines are giga comfy. Personally, I think it feels so much more rewarding and interesting to progress to a new movement as opposed to just lifting a bigger number every week. Also basically free/cheap as frick, doesn't take up any space, can do it anywhere (including at home). You can do basically everything with a $20 doorway pullup bar and ~$20-30 gymnastics rings.

You aren't doing any of the advanced exercises for calisthenics. Nobody cares.

You lose out on our width for your back, chest will be smaller, shoulders are smaller, barely any leg development. Why do you guys homosexuals wanna be pretentious and stick to one thing. Weighted calisthenics and regular weight training is great.

Hello skinny gay who's afraid to go to the gym. Youre missing out on a lot of good exercises.

There's a reason why the military focuses on calisthenics and cardio.

Special forces, seals are on roids and in the gym all the time. Have you seen these dudes before lmao

          >You lose out on our width for your back, chest will be smaller, shoulders are smaller, barely any leg development.
That's the way God designed our bodies to be. Anything that strays from God's perfect design is inherently hedonistic and vain (deadly sins).

Okay, pretty sure God made it possible to pick heavy things.

Soldiers trained in calisthenics are more valuable and capable than roided up meatheads.

moron, most western soldiers are fat as shit now. America, Britain, Europe etc.

You can effectively train both, no equipment needed they are always carrying extra weight such as their firearms etc so it will just add on a bit more to their training, its weighted calisthenics.

they focus on calisthenics and cardio because it's cheap, amenable to group fitness, and doesn't have the injury potential of lifting heavy. not because its more effective

    Yup, it's really the best.
Take a look at this 91 YEAR OLD gymnast.

Flexibility, agility, mobility, core, mind body connection/control. That's what you want for a long and happy life, your average gym rat will be lumbering around at 40 with busted knees and a bad back. You don't have to accept such things as natural, you should be spry and fit into your 60's at least.

      >Bulgarian dip

Not a fan of this variation anon, but traditional ring dips are insanely underrated. I'd estimate 90% of this board wouldn't be able to but out 5x reps with proper form.

all strength is practical strength. Gaining muscle with weights doesn't magically force you to be able to only use it for weights you idiot
