Reminder all those stupid muscle building barbell and dumbbell exercises are pointless if you are also not doing lifts that ACTUALLY CARRIES TO REAL LIFE APPLICATIONS.

I lift purely for vanity and aesthetics
same
Same here, except under the clever guise of being a rugby player and athlete.
Post body
I'm a show pony, not a work horse. Work horses get shot when they can't fulfil their purpose, show ponies get show b***hes.
But you don’t get any b***hes
Do crossfit + boxing and youll make every man fear you, no matter how big and strong he looks
Whatever suits you homosexual
Crossfit is gay. Just do strongman training jesus
>Do Crossfit/be a DYEL loser
>pay some dude to "teach you to box"
>get your ass beat IRL when you think you're badder than you are.
FTFY

Three seasons a year, which is why I only go to the gym during winter layoff.
Lol, this is moronic strength is strength. If you get stronger at barbell lifts which is the easiest way to gain muscle and strength while still maintaining stabilization aspect then you will get stronger in a way that applies to your day to day life
>barbell lifts
>stabilization

I lift because it's fun and makes me look good naked. I'm a software engineer. I don't need to simulate loading bags of concrete into a cement mixer.
>virgin brainlets see it as improving your blue collar abilities
>real men see it as improving your girl manhandling abilities
for a software engineer i'd expected you to be a lot smarter than this
I think when your goal is to be genuinely strong you realize at some point that spamming basic barbell movements is by far not enough, even if you add a lot of weight to your sq/dl/bench. Change a vector of movement or the starting point or weight distribution and you suddenly become hardly better than any other guy. It's definitely worth it to do a huge variety of movement patterns and different approaches, at least when you want to be actually strong, not just bench strong. Not saying it's a must, but it's probably smarter to keep things diversified than to spam conventional simple barbell movements all the time.
I wish my gym had some heavy ass sandbags, I wanna try 2-300 lbs ones
300 is where it starts getting pretty hard depending on what you're trying to do with it.
nice
If barbell movements dont apply to real life applications why do most top athletes do them?
>functional strength thread
>no pullups or sprinting
Wow OP was actually not a homosexual for once
Cardio isn't regarded as strength, moron.
The best bodybuilders are the shittiest workers because they reach muscle failure as efficiently as possible.
