FYI there is *literally* no way a pre-Industrial Revolution hunter would be able to afford multiple dozens of eggs DAILY. In France at the time, chicken/egg operations were fairly decentralized, there were no organized egg hatcheries or anything. The expense of just acquiring 2-3 eggs would have been prohibitive, let alone dozens per day. It's absolute nonsense.
