I am prescribed 60mg of methylphenidate daily and I sometimes don't even take it once during a week. 60mg is probably what I take in a month. The magic of this medicine will wear off and turn into addiction if you take it daily.

You don't have ~~*ADHD*~~, you are just a man that is not passionate about what you do on a daily basis

Take it sparingly when needed at low of a dosage as possible.

And what about the actual executive functioning deficits and cognition inherent in people with actual attention deficit disorders their entire lives? Should just try harder and be more passionate obviously... even if they already are. That'll fix everything

1 week off for every 2 weeks on, you'll thank me.

Amphetamines are great for focus and energy at first, but it quickly becomes manic, anxious, psycho energy and insomnia before you know it.

So for every two weeks you're on it, take a week off. It will feel more magic when you take it again, and you won't turn into a psychotic weirdo.

Thanks for the advice. I definitely don’t plan on using them forever and indefinitely. But once I my life is in a decent place I will have more options of coping. Do you do anything specific to reduce comedown?

        Anonymous

The on/off protocol will prevent most "come down" or withdrawal stuff, you'll notice it gets harder to sleep towards the end of the second week. I use kratom or benadryl, kratom is the "healthier" option.

Try kratom with it once or twice on the peak, it's better than sex. But keep yourself strict about your dosing schedule because that shit is addictive as absolute frick together. That "better than sex" thing isn't some kind of exaggeration.

What country? I just ordered some for a European friend, it's legal basically everywhere and there's places that ship international. If you can get a mild benzo, that works great too.

NZ, we have a completely different drug market. Can’t get cocaine or most normal things like that

                Frick New Zealand. Jesus.

Probably one of 3 first world countries to make kratom illegal.

Well gabapentin, benadryl, couple shots of vodka, anything that will slow your brain down helps. If you can get any kind of benzo at least, that's ideal.

ADHD is a meme is a meme. A 1970s meme which you still believe because your mom told you so. And because it protects your ego.

ADHD is the most well studied of all mental health diseases, with clear consensus on its existence, and with mountains of evidence both for its huge damage to society and individuals and for the degree of efficacy of the possible treatments.

            https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S014976342100049X

Also, if anything, ADHD is tragically underdiagnosed in adults.

            https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4195639/

Is an effective treatment for ADHD, with the long term effect of improving their brain structure, bringing it closer to a normal, healthy brain.

Unfortunately we live in the 21st century now. Back in the stone ages having ADHD was actually useful for hunting and shit but today it has so little benefits while giving you so many disadvantages when youre trying to fit into modern society that it has to be considered a disorder. Back then it wasnt important to remember appointments, back then you couldnt accidently kill someone because you didnt pay attention while driving and back then you also didnt have to focus on anything for a extendend periode of time much less focus on something that is complicated. Unfortunately shit has changed and unless you plan to live off the grid in a forest you will have to go through a lot of shit just to make it through the day

While I don't disagree with what you say, this way of thinking will eventually lead to the demise of society. If people get changed to fit the system, critical faults in the system will go unchallenged and can grow until the whole thing collapses.

Use them occasionally, like once a week or less, then sell the rest to someone else who wants em. Taking this shit everyday will permanently damage the delicate system of neurotransmitters in the brain.

Unless you're absolutely UNABLE to function in society right now without medication, I suspect the costs will outweigh the benefits. I strongly suggest reading pic rel, if only the section on Ritalin, before you decide to pop one of these pills.

there is usually an issue that can not be identified by doctors because they are not looking, like food allergies, that create issues that are helped by these drugs. i would look at gluten, celiacs disease, or diary, or egg allergies before beginning these types of drugs. elimination diet instead of allergy tests will help you more than any test. even if you handle the pills well for months, in the end, it will end badly and cause more harm then good. your body is not naturally adhd, bipolar, add, etc something is causing it, and almost guarantee its something you eat.

This schedule works great for me. It gives my brain a rest and prevents tolerance build-up. I don't need the meds at weekends anyway as I'm just chilling. If I need a boost some caffeine and a cold shower does the trick.

I prefer the instant release variety as it gives me finer control over my day and I can time when the meds wear off and prevent them fricking with my sleep.

adderall is good. I'm prescribed 40mg per day but taking them every day (as prescribed) defeats the purpose, makes you super dependent, tired asf without taking them, etc. Mental rebounding when you stop. I take 7.5mg per day now, and not every day at all. Now if I decide to take 10-15mg I feel completely amped, yet not dependent.
