    You could gain some pretty good size with some proper progressions,for some muscles you will need to directly target them with weights to isolate them.

    Depends on how far you go with it. 100 squats push-ups, sit-ups not very far. 1000 squats, push-ups, sit-ups you will be a beast.

    Most of the calisthenics programs need more equipment than just lifting weights. If you want minimalist home gym you'd be better off with dumbells+kettlebell+chin up bar.
