I recognize the animal abuses that occur. They are mostly factory farming. But local, free/pasture raised meat and poultry/dairy and eggs. My family has lots of farmers. They treat animals well and give them painless deaths and know the process from farm to table and accept it as a part of nature and honor the sacrifices of the animal. They treat animals well and give them painless deaths and know the process from farm to table and accept it as a part of nature and honor the sacrifices of the animal. Meat/dairy alternatives are expensive plus a vegan diet funnily enough lacks some nutrients even with supplementation. Although I agree that being vegan is more moral than eating meat, until those problems are accounted for and they taste just as if not better than meat. I doubt I'll be switching anytime soon.
