Might target your legs specifically a little more but you are losing out on very real core and lower back gains as well as general improvements to stability.
>I've gotten loads of gains on free weights alone. >Machines never helped me.
after 25 years of lifting i'd flip this on its head
free weights are the most inefficient way tobuild either muscle or strength
if powerflifting didnt exist, no one would sqwat or dead bench
>Imagine thinking a "machine" is better than your back, core, and legs doing the work
the only thing doing the work is the weakest link in the chain
everything else is getting almost no stimulaiton
that's why atheltes use cables and machines more so than free weights - when youre salary depends on performance, you use what works
it's not any worse for your knees than a highbar squat. you sound moronic. hacksquat really is the best if you only care about quad size. it's most pro bbs main quad exercise. better than leg press or real squats for quad size.
You probably don't want two exercises that taxing in one session. And since they're more or less the same, you'll want to get really good at one of them and progress it.
>is a squat
I'm still waiting for link with studies about this bullshit bro
Just go to the gym and do the lift wtf are you talking about
Studies homosexuals will continue to buy HAES bullshit kys.
>gives you 10x more gains than squats
did y'all hear what this Black person just said?
>gives you 10x more squats than gains

I wouldn't mind squats if the racks at my gym weren't fricking occupied all the time.
Change the time you go to the gym to avoid the prostitutes who use the racks 3xs the time needed
Core gains are minimal and low back gains come fine from Deadlift.
Unless you're a strength athlete the Barbell squat is a bit of a meme. Better tools for just looking good.
>What are warmup sets
>if you don't care about strength don't squat
Correct
You can gain strength on any exercise. Not just Barbell squats. They're not the only way to build strong legs.
They are objectively the best way though and denying this is cope
They're really not. Unless you're a powercoper or short.
Taller lifters get more out of other variants on average. Depends on your leverages.
Theyre a great tool, but just that. A tool. Not every problem problem is a nail, but when you really love your hammer it can look like they are.
I always have sharp knee pain immediately after hack squats. Never had problems with normal squats though. It’s a pity, they seem like fun.
I've gotten loads of gains on free weights alone.
Machines never helped me.

You've been lifting for 25 years? Post body.
bro has got 0 plates on there and I have been training legs for 1 month and use 4 lmao
come back to brag when you stop lifting b***h weight
Imagine thinking a "machine" is better than your back, core, and legs doing the work

Thank you, Jared Feather
this thing is terrible for your knees
if you're a fricking moron, yeah
it's not any worse for your knees than a highbar squat. you sound moronic. hacksquat really is the best if you only care about quad size. it's most pro bbs main quad exercise. better than leg press or real squats for quad size.
>trust me bro
I love using the hack squat to kill my legs at the end of leg day; just go on there and absolutely murder myself. It hurts so good.
This is why I could see using it. Don't have to worry so much about snapping your shit up since it's a machine.
Gives you 10x more gains than Dumbbell bench press.
noob here, why not do both?
You probably don't want two exercises that taxing in one session. And since they're more or less the same, you'll want to get really good at one of them and progress it.
>but muh stabilizers I can't even point at on an anatomy drawing
