          This

          Your other options are
          >slow thumb amputation
          >bicep gear
          >bottlenecking your heaviest lift with your smallest muscle group

is your list of options if you don't want to use straps. They don't cause nerve damage in your wrists

        Or just be a man
Seriosly, there are/were elite powerlifters that never lifted with straps
and you will probably never even lift 40% of their lifts
Use mixed for deads, overhand for everything else, and train your fricking grip

straps are for high reps. You shouldn't need straps to do 1RM or even 3-5, aka powershitter shit.

Thor and Eddie used straps for their record breaking deadlifts, be sure to tell them that it didn't count. I do train my grip, and to the surprise of absolutely no one with more than a year of lifting experience, it progresses slower than the heaviest lift you do. Not going to shave off a ton of weight from my deadlifts to satisfy some random online dyel's idea of manhood. I'll say it again, bottlenecking your deadlifts with grip is fricking moronic.

I bought straps last week and it has been very awesome to train with. Long farmers walks with 30lb kettlebells or plates and high volume dumbbell rows

    I hate women

I had this happen to me yesterday, my right hand went numb for a couple minutes after trap bar dling 600 for 6.

Is there anyway to avoid this? do I need more padding?
