Tell me to stop eating meat. Tells me to stop doing keto.

Finally stop the keto.

Keto could have killed me. Its crazy. Now just calorie count and eat fish instead of meat.

Don't make my mistake IST, you might lose weight on keto, but it mostly water and it will damage your heart.

Once your body goes into real ketosis it'll eat the necessary fat around your heart and when it replaces it, it does so with fat that's subpar, it's like the equivalent to repairing a broken wall with spray foam.

Animals store a lot of toxic shit in their fat tissue. Most forms of red meat are at least 1/3rd fat calories unless you're eating super lean cuts.

People are obese because they have unlimited food and no self control, just eat less, you can't control whether you'll get heart disease anymore than you can control Alzheimer's or cancer. It's not up to you, it's just rotten luck

The Incidence of Myocarditis and Pericarditis in Post COVID-19 Unvaccinated Patients-A Large Population-Based Study

        https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/35456309/

        Abstract

Myocarditis and pericarditis are potential post-acute cardiac sequelae of COVID-19 infection, arising from adaptive immune responses. We aimed to study the incidence of post-acute COVID-19 myocarditis and pericarditis. Retrospective cohort study of 196,992 adults after COVID-19 infection in Clalit Health Services members in Israel between March 2020 and January 2021. Inpatient myocarditis and pericarditis diagnoses were retrieved from day 10 after positive PCR. Follow-up was censored on 28 February 2021, with minimum observation of 18 days. The control cohort of 590,976 adults with at least one negative PCR and no positive PCR were age- and sex-matched. Since the Israeli vaccination program was initiated on 20 December 2020, the time-period matching of the control cohort was calculated backward from 15 December 2020. Nine post-COVID-19 patients developed myocarditis (0.0046%), and eleven patients were diagnosed with pericarditis (0.0056%). In the control cohort, 27 patients had myocarditis (0.0046%) and 52 had pericarditis (0.0088%). Age (adjusted hazard ratio [aHR] 0.96, 95% confidence interval [CI]; 0.93 to 1.00) and male sex (aHR 4.42; 95% CI, 1.64 to 11.96) were associated with myocarditis. Male sex (aHR 1.93; 95% CI 1.09 to 3.41) and peripheral vascular disease (aHR 4.20; 95% CI 1.50 to 11.72) were associated with pericarditis. Post COVID-19 infection was not associated with either myocarditis (aHR 1.08; 95% CI 0.45 to 2.56) or pericarditis (aHR 0.53; 95% CI 0.25 to 1.13).

        >We did not observe an increased incidence of neither pericarditis nor myocarditis in adult patients recovering from COVID-19 infection.

It is because an ancient over 70 year old person finally managed to lose some fucking weight and fix his health issues without having superhuman willpower or having to autistically calculate spreadsheets of calorie intakes while enjoying really tasty meals until satiety.
But sure he should have just eaten the same crap he had eaten for decades and just try to eat less like literally everyone tries and fails to do. Just eat 1kcal below your tdee every day and you will lose one pound in about 3000 years according to CICO.

I did keto at the end of 2020, for 3 months, of 20 net carbs a day. I got strep throat after those 3 months, began to syncopate after 4 days of strep throat, and ended up getting diagnosed with heart failure after a week in the ICU. They told me it was from the strep throat spreading to my organs and that keto also played a role. Which is a shame, I was losing 6lbs of fat per 2 weeks doing 3 hour gym sessions 5 times a week with the keto. I almost got to my goal before the hospitalization and afterwards was depressed and gained the weight back. Then I got addicted to adderall and just fasted until I got down to 9% bf.

Moral of the story fuck keto just doing drugs
