    Same here bro. Omw to get hammered tonight then heading out bouldering tomorrow morning, brunch with my gf at midday, boardgames with some mates in the arvo and I'll hit up the gym in the evening. Trying to do a muscle up so it'll be pull out, dips, leg raises and core work.

    How strong are you guys fingers? I feel like I'm severly lacking. Internet search says v5 climber average can max hang about 130% bw on 20mm. My gym has a digital board thing to measure I can only max hang 85% on a 18mm edge right now. I got injured a couple months ago when I tried focusing on fingerstrength probably partially why I'm so weak right now too.
    Any tips like routines on training fingerstrength?

      I was about to start bragging and then I realized that I've been hanging on the 29mm edges. I can barely stick to the 19mm with half my weight on the ground. I definitely need to work on my finger strength as well. I'm about V4 level.

      I had a fat friend who was addicted to weed and shitty MMOs. Dude lost the weight and started to smoke less but still couldn't get a job he liked. Brough him bouldering and the dude has transformed. He works there now, knows everyone, is going on trips to climb outdoors and looks healthier than ever. Men have so much potential that they need to direct into something real and physical

      I know a guy like this too. Dropped out of college and was just coasting until he found climbing. Now he also works at the gym and has a ton of friends. Crusher.

      do NOT fingerboard before 1 year of consistent climbing or until you flash every V4
      work on technique and dont muscle your way up

      Weak as shit compared to other climbers around me. I average v4 level and can only hang on the 20mm edge for about 10 seconds with only my bodyweight. I don't think it's that big of a deal and you can get to high grades without fingerboarding. My brother climbs V9 and he's only slightly better at fingerboarding than me.

      I climb V7 inside and V6 outside or on system boards and last I tested only 140% bw on 20mm for 10 seconds. I've had some pretty significant pulley injuries too and honestly the biggest factor for how strong and stable my fingers feel during a session is whether or not I got sufficient rest over the prior 48 hours.

      I climbed at a gym for 11 years maxing out at v8 and didnt make a single friend despite going 3-4 days a week. Its gotta be the most antisocial sport there is, or Im just crazy frickin ugly.

        What are you talking about, there's nothing easier than getting into a conversation with someone who's struggling on the same problem as you?!
        Guys always try to give me unsolicited advice or ask me how I managed to do a certain move. I don't often reciprocate unless I feel like he mogs me and I might learn something.
        Next step in my evolution is to start chatting up girls, but they either suck at climbing and hang around in groups of other girls who suck at climbing or they are absolutely badass and most likely there with their climbing bf. I guess my best chances are with the ones who suck.

    Tomorrow doing a 20 mile hike through a mountain range for charity
    I've never walked this far in my life

    Nice, have fun and thanks for asking, I'm going on a 2 day trip for my uni's "PE course" as I picked the hiking one, only drawback is I have to get up in like 6.5 hours

    Just be careful, if you'll have just gotten done with a good climbing sesh, not to go too hard on your fingers and back right after with more stuff (if you've not done this before)
