Going down the path of improvemnt

Let's say you're at the stage of introspection, you are now willing to change.

You know that you have to:
>quit porn
>start lifting
>start eating properly
>quit drinking
>stop being reliant of entertainment like social media, netflix, video games, etc.
>build boredom tolerance
>start reading books
>you know, all of the important shit.

But how exactly do you do that?

Do you just make a decision that from now on you're going to obey all of the listed rules and principles and just wait until you start relapsing less and less until you no longer relapse OR do you start with one thing (e.g. lifting) and then gradually introduce the rest of the habits until you become perfect?

Maybe none of those things work, idk bro. Please explain to me, what is the strategy to rewiring your brain into being perfect.

    >quit porn
Stay busy. Idle hands are the devil's plaything.
    >start lifting
    Just lift brah.
    >start eating properly
Just eat healthy brah. Avoid goyslop, cook your own food.
    >stop being reliant of entertainment like social media, netflix, video games, etc.
    Read books.
    >build boredom tolerance
If you're bored it's because you're not doing anything worthwhile with your time.
    >start reading books
    Just read brah.
    >start with one thing (e.g. lifting) and then gradually introduce the rest of the habits until you become perfect?
    This one.
    >what is the strategy to rewiring your brain into being perfect.
    See above.

IST recommends the book Atomic Habits. Haven't read it but from what I know you've made a bunch of neural pathways that are cemented more and more into adulthood. I don't believe people can lose things like alcoholism or other addictions, but you can do other things. The brain is plastic so intentionally creating a new habit that triggers a reward response will provide an alternative behaviour.
You can go to IST and ask about neuroplasticity in the /big/ threads. Seems psilocybin and some nasal sprays will help, but the reward mechanism is probably what makes it stick.

depends whether you need that behavior in your life in general or if you actually don't,. example
    >you need to eat, drink, move, use your sexual energy and attention, talk with people
hence you can fix these things, not stop them, adhere to some diet you find healthy, use your attention for the things you find worth your time and not waste it, make them bring good things to yer life
    >you don't need to smoke, drink alcohol, look at porn, hook up with bawds
so you can droo these things from your life altogether
at least that's the current thinking behind treating addictions and similar stuff

Set small goals and achieve them. All men should compete in athletics at some point in life, because it's a perfect illustration of how that works and progressive training works.

    >But how exactly do you do that?
All of these things are great, don't get me wrong, but here they're too broad in scope and lack clear definition.

Like "start lifting" - yeah, you can go to the gym, but is that enough? Are you going to keep on lifting once you start lifting? Or are you going to quit after a few sessions because it's too hard and your muscles are sore?

What you should do is break them down into smaller tasks and start with them. Things will snowball quickly - good habits and bad habits alike take time to form, and once you have made the first steps the rest of the journey is going to be easier.

So, if you want to "start lifting" - you can start by going to the gym at least three times a week. And I'm not asking you to go out and break your fricking spine lifting, just *go* there and do some workouts. You will form the habit of going to the gym. Then start taking your trainings more seriously, and then realize that the only person you have to compete against in the gym is yourself. Ego lifting is going to get you killed.

This also translates into other areas of your "improvement quest". Want to start reading more? Great! The mistake people make here is that they try to read some stuff that's way above their reading level (and I'm not calling you stupid - reading is a skill just as is lifting, and you level it up with time) and then give up because, again, it's too hard. So my advice here is - read what you love until you love reading. If you dig reading Harry Potter or Star Wars, great, go for it. Read 50 pages of that shit daily. Then move on to something more demanding. Don't go for shit like "Thus Spoke Zarathustra" as your first book if you haven't read shit since elementary school.

      (continued, and I'm done)

Same goes for everything else. Want to eat healthier? Great! Learn how to cook. This is both an amazing skill that will keep your hands busy (so no jerking off) and make you healthier in the long run. Not to mention that it's fun. And it's going to teach you a lot about what food is good for you and what isn't.

Drinking, porn addiction, food addiction... all of that ties to your "boredom tolerance" which is a bullshit term. It's more related to the fact that you're living on autopilot without even noticing that shit. So the moment you start paying attention to the things you do (and when you do it, and how you do it, and why you do it) is the moment you can start fighting against those urges.

And so on, and on, and on. As mentioned before, it starts small and then snowballs.

Oh yeah, and one more important thing - don't be too hard on yourself. If you "fail" you can always start again. The only way to truly fail is to stop - and as long as you try to be better you're gonna make it brah.

        >"boredom tolerance" which is a bullshit term
If you dont learn to tolerate being bored you will attempt to fill that void with vice. Learning to accept it and endure it during the quiet moments is necessary.

    >Do you just make a decision that from now on you're going to obey all of the listed rules and principles
Focus on changing one thing at the time instead of doing everything at once. You should also make a plan what program to do, how to eat what to eat, set up a weekly diet outline. I would say lifting and eating is the biggest thing on your list and first priority.

    > and just wait until you start relapsing less and less until you no longer relapse
    Yes that is the approach.

    > until you become perfect?
You are and will never be perfect. And that is okay.

But in your case just start lifting, buy/download some books and try to read just 1 to 5 pages a day. Do not stop using all social media, video games and things that are fun that is a pointless self masturbation part of self improvement. There is no reason not to do those things, the important thing is that its not the only thing you do. You build boredom tolerance by going to school and having a job, cleaning your place and cooking, you dont need to specifically train that.

I think quitting porn is pointless and should be last on your list, its not that important.

If you are drinking daily then its good to quit. If you are only drinking on the weekends when you go out then keep going out and just don't drink or have one or two beers max. And if not that then get something other to do on the weekend. If you are just sitting home and not doing anything that is kind of boring and pointless.

    >>you know, all of the important shit.
I really don't. What important shit?

    >what is the strategy to rewiring your brain into being perfect.
You make a plan. Small goals. Then you start doing and you rewire your self over time the more you do something. You will never be perfect neither will your brain.

you start by eliminating what it's the easiest to fix (for example, porn with the easypeasy method) and maybe eliminate other shit if you want. you start working out, but you start slow and steady, it's not a race. then after 6 months (or earlier) you reasses the situation and add more rules
the important thing is allowing these thimfs to become a part of you

Don't give up if you can't be perfect. Don't not try because you can't be perfect. Start now. Keep going. Keep getting better. That's it.

Discard any thought that prevents you from taking action.
