Good recipes for chicken and rice?

I recently got my own place and I have to cook my own meals. Since thats a good time to start with a IST approved meal plan, I wanna know some good chicken and rice recipes since I like them very much and I never cooked anything in my life.

        oke bro listen to this.
        >buy chicken drums
        >on the big ones make a cut in the thick part for even cooking
        >put on salt and whatever spices
even just black pepper and that random mixed herbs shit you got in the cupboard is good enough.
        >highly recommend letting it sit for 2 hours
        >put it in the oven for 2 hours about 130-140C in a stainless pan or oven tray to save the drippings
        >flip once at ~1 hr mark
if you wanna get specific I take it out at 190-195F internal temperature for the best results.
drippings should be mostly fat with concentrated drippings full of gelatin so you can emulsify into a glossy sauce, if too watery you can reduce it in oven/stove.
steam some broccoli or whatever and spoon the drippings over the rice and chicken.

Basically impossible to frick up with an instant pot, usually pretty fast and easy to cook and pretty good.

the thing about that is that i still remember some post somewhere on the internet where a couple had an instant pot and boiled rice in it and for some reason it always had a crispy aroma, and one day they looked into it and they found a shitton of roaches or something inside. I detest insects, so im kind of a pussy about it lol

Adam ragusea has some good videos and I like his presenting style. Straight to the point.

I recommend doing the standard meat + carb + veg. Keep the carb quite low. For example, butterflied chicken breast, boiled or mashed potato, boiled green beans or tenderstem broccoli. Make a sauce so it's juicy and delicious. I like to make a simple peppercorn sauce with onions as a base and creme fraiche: Diced shallot/small onion in pan, fry until translucent, deglaze with white wine vinegar. Add a couple hundred ml of chicken stock, reduce, add creme fraiche and pepper. Lower heat and reduce more. Butterfly a chicken breast, lay in a pan of hot olive oil and brown each side. Dice it up and keep cooking in the pan or bake in the oven. Dice and boil a couple big potatoes for 12 mins, mash them, add some butter, chopped parsley. Put some tenderstem broccoli in a bowl with a splash of water and cover. Put in the microwave for a few mins. Pour the sauce over everything. Delicious and simple.

Yeah, a big stewing pot/dutch oven is the no. 1 utensil. You can do basically everything in it. Try this: https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/beef-vegetable-casserole
        this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JgPfKZovZhA
        this: https://www.kitchensanctuary.com/chicken-casserole/
Also you can do really easy simple shit like buying a thin-cut sirloin. Open all your windows, put all the extraction fans on 100% and disable smoke alarms. Rub steak in oil, get pan to hottest it'll go, and cook on each side for exactly 2.5 minutes. Put some sweet potato fries in the oven. (Don't make them, buy them. It's too much hassle to make and they end up worse) https://www.tesco.com/groceries/en-GB/products/292523862
Also try pan frying butterflied chicken breast seasoned with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder. Put it in between a cibatta roll with some lettuce, mayo, diced spring onion. Takes 10 minutes. Eat it with a side of salad consisting of avocado, pepper, tomato, etc. Look up salad dressing - don't buy it. Just keep it simple and do olive oil, vinegar, maybe a bit of wholegrain mustard and oregano.

The best recipe when it comes to chicken in rice is to open the garbage can and throw the rice out, then double or triple the amount of chicken, add some eggs, and eat til satiety.
