The inspiration of this thread was a guy I've seen at my gym.

This guy has turned up every 2 days for the past 3 months and grown a lot despite his bad programme. I decided to speak to him.

I dont know what this phenotype is but I wanna call him a demon. Nice guy but I sense he has the ability to absolutely maul someone in a fight.

    I use headphones to avoid interacting with other people.
    I understand for many people the gym is a social event for many, but while in there I'm on a mission. All I want is to do my reps and get out. No, I don't want heat about your reps or how much load you have added. If you're making progress, good for you, honestly but idgaf. I already practice a sport and the gym is just a place I go that helps me get better at that.

    I have tried getting back into training twice now, longest I've managed to last is a few weeks, I don't see the point, how did I lose so much muscle, I used to do a physical job but during covid got a remote office job so I've hardly even left the house.

    Took me years to get to a size I didn't feel like a lanky fuck and it went away so fast, now the idea of spending years just to get back to where I was kills my motivation to work out, it makes me angry lifting so much lower than I used to, and I can't really afford to eat the amount of meat I was eating before so it feels like I'll never get there.

    Right now I'm thinking of cashing out my investments renting a shack in Cambodia and doing heroin until I hopefully OD, the girl I met got sick of waiting and moved on, I'm nearly 30 and the world feels like it's only going to get worse for me.

        I appreciate it, 120kg is pretty heavy but honestly I've been eating like shit trying to get bigger even if it's just fat, pretty lame but being lanky is worse than fat in my view, don't know why I can't gain weight. I appreciate the thoughts though and sorry to hear you're in a similar boat. If it makes you feel any better I bet a lot of your muscle is still intact, I think I lost it so fast due to hardly eating, I bet you still got a lot of that strength ready to go when you get back into it and the excess will come down as you go.
