Had my first cringe moment at gym
>be somewhat regular
>love to mess with bench press
>always go alone
>don't ask anyone to spot me
>push myself to limits
>can't complete the lift
>someone runs in to help me finish this lift I can finish that's floating on my chest
>guy on bench next to me asks if I'm OK
>I say "all good I should of had someone spot me"
>says hey man if you need me to spot me I got you
>say thanks man all good
>walk away and call it a night
How cringe was this IST
I just told my GF and she said she would NEVER have sex with a guy like you LOL! Sorry xD
I'm fricking ashamed bros
>should of
Should have*, you illiterate Black person. You presumably speak only one language, and you butcher it. Stay awake in English class, kiddos.
Be nice I'm shivering with plenty of cringe

Drink bleach and die slowly. I mean it.
Says the prescriptivist. Read a single book. One.
by this logic, there's no such thing as a spelling or grammar error. is that really the path you want to go down?
I truly believe that person is infact a bot... Nobody is autistic enough to be like him other than that Coonhomosexual.
You left out the most important part, this ultimate deciding factor as to whether it was cringe or not: how much were you benching?
5ft 5 manlet lifting 2 45's
Then yep, it was cringe. Assuming you mean 1 45 on each side.
Alright time to anhero

Greentext is not reddit.
Imagine reddit living rent free in your coommunist brainlet insides.

Relax pussy, it happens to the best of us. Big upps on going alone not needing people to motivate you ,
don't feel bad has happened to me too
me and this paki dude are slowly becoming gym bros, i saw him wearing a subtle fresh & fit shirt one time so i knew he was based and now we spot each other on bench over 300
thank god cuz i go to a cazzie gym and i know nobody would jump in to rescue my at a high weight failure
How often do people at gym offer to spot each other?
t. OP
If I see a dude I know at the bench, I'll offer to give him a spot. Thats the only time though.
>If I see a dude I know at the bench, I'll offer to give him a spot
And by that you mean someone you've seen on occasion?
No, we have to have talked before. Usually this applies to regulars, because I talk to people I see multiple times. I guess that would make us friends.
I've never offered to spot someone, but theoretically, I would always spot someone if asked
So it's not a b***h move to ask the guy on bench (alone) next to me to spot me and offer to spot him?
I think I get asked to spot someone maybe once a month or so. Mostly strangers. Never feels weird it's normal.
If you unironically listen to fresh&fit go for a huge pr without a spotter next time and drop it on your neck
When I was starting out benching some hapa powerlifter chick came over to save me after I went to failure doing some ridiculously low weight. Still the hottest girl I’ve spoken to at the gym and wasn’t even embarrassing in the moment.
OP here, so if I'm benching alone I should be aware and not get near my limits so that I don't make an ass out of myself? This doesn't happen to regulars lifting heavy?
Bro just ask someone for a spot if you're maxing out or tired not that hard lmfao
I'm new to gym atmosphere so I'm not a dickhead asking for a spot? I figure I look like less a moron not being able to finish my rep...
I would say that it's more moronic when someone has to run over and deadlift the weight off your chest.
Thanks you're 100% right
No it's fine if the guy you're asking isn't doing anything
I'm fairly new too (1 year) and I've asked people to spot me sometimes and they gladly helped me
>Be me just escaping skeleton mode
>Working out for six months
>Run out of protein powder and creatine
>Go to the supplement store
>Every one in there was jacked except for me
>The clerk asked everyone in front of me what gym they went to was and was giving them advice on what to stack with there purchases
>He finishes my purchase and looks at me and just says
>good luck
why didnt you just drop the weights?
Ya blew it
>in the locker room with my headphones on
>drop my resistance band (I usually bring my own) but don't notice
>turn my back and start to walk away
>guy calls out and asks "hey is this yours?"
>I hear him but kinda don't think he was talking to me also I'm socially awkward
>to him it looks like I just ignored him and was a dick
>get to my car look in my bag and realize my resistance band is not there
>I get to my car and realize he was probably talking to me
>go back in my locker room and look around for my band
>the guy probably took it for himself
>go to the dumbbell rack
>take weights for lying back dumbbell flys
>group of teenage girls show up chatting
>lean back with weights
>pressure on my stomach
>unleash huge ripping fart
>stinks so bad girls look in disgust and walk away
>complete my set
>feel bad and cringe at first
>then realize the gym is my domain
>laying back DB Flys
They're just called "flys" dude. Maybe DB fly if you're feeling cheeky.
Not cringe at all. Next time you see that dude give him a nod and if he nods back you made your first gym buddy
I fell off the treadmill the first day I went to the gym. Stop whining for nothing.
>I missed a lift
>omg so cringe ammirite guys?
Stfu zoomer. The cringe is you quitting after you missed one lift. You're a pussy, so is half this board because most of you have never even tried lifting something heavy enough to crush you. Most of you are fine doing 15x5 sets and then wondering why you aren't getting big.
I genuinely don't understand how this was cringe. The conversation seems like a normal conversation in such a situation. The cringe aspect of it was that you failed a bench? How the hell is failing a lift cringe?
Its fine dude, it happens. especially if you're pushing yourself. Maybe start asking for a spot
