I'll do it. Mixing carbs and fats activates the randle cycle go look it up. Calories are a measurement of heat energy. Food is combusted in a bomb calorimeter, your body doesn't function this way. Given energy values for carbohydrates and protein are the same but it totally ignores the fact that protein won't necessarily be oxidised for energy and rather to replenish amino acid pools. Thermic effect of protein is also not considered. Only protein and fat are required to not die. What does this even mean? You gain muscle fat when you consume more than you burn off. Carbs are turned into glycogen that’s stored in your muscles with a backup in your liver. If you don’t burn it, it gets turned into fat for long term storage. Yes. Carbs will make you fat.
