    >take enough steroids to kill a lesser being
    >train like it's your full time job
why do they need a coach? shit seems pretty straightforward

        >unironically paying a guy to tell you to eat less salt

That's not how the salt intake is managed

And when and how to increase their sodium and carbs?

Have you ever watched any sport ever? Countless great coaches are older dudes who are no longer in shape.

I've notice that some of best coaches ever had to study and grind to get to mid-tier in their sport. They were able to pass that knowledge on to athletes with elite potential.

Not surprising. Understanding the actual process behind progression and development in a spirt is different than being good at the sport. Struggling for skill probably imparts that understanding to anyone smart enough to pay attention. If you actually have elite potential, so long as you listen to the right person you can go incredibly far with zero understanding of your coach's methods work.

seems like a big one, even just seeing your own body in the mirror every day will give you a weird perspective on how you look/should look. Also making you stick to a routine, I do stupid shit sometimes like maxing out on days I shouldn't etc.

You're all retarded if you think you know anything about bodybuilding preps. There's a whole lot of drug management, obviously food, training, timing and experience will make or break your peak on stage.

I don't understand how a human can have knowledge that they choose not to apply to themselves
I don't understand that genetics play a big part in bodybuilding success

He could be a 1 in the trillion 8 foot tall bodybuilder or a 4'11 600lb fatass
he's got the brains and that's all that matters, would you reject the knowledge of a guy that knows what he is doing?

You know what's more fun going through the miserable grind of bodybuilding on the highest level? Getting payed lots of money to help others do it.

Because he's fucking rich and married and doesn't care about being a mass monster to impress zoomers on Instagram lmao

Chris Aceto, Jay Cutler's coach for most of his career, is similar. The dude looks and sounds like an accountant, but is one of the most respected coaches in pro bodybuilding.

Hany created the best version of Jay Cutler.

Jay usually says his best physique was 2001, which was under Aceto. Hani is clearly the better coach nowadays though.

His supplement company is a huge sponsor of the IFBB, its not that he has any special coaching magic but these top tier guys on the verge of winning seek him out as a coach for his connects to the top judges. He clearly had the memo ahead of time that conditioning is going to decide the olympia while half the guys were going for mass to try to match big ramy and got exposed
