I did it when I started lifting, only novice program I stuck to long enough to move on to an intermediate routine. I found it to be the least boring out of all the starter programs

Best beginner program. Add in some plug-ins to target aesthetic or strength goals and you're good to go for the next 12 months. Do the deloads properly and sub in alternate lifts at lower weights to keep things interesting (like dropping close grip bench for skullcrushers for targeting triceps).
Don't forget the alternate day cardio either. Go for long walks twice a week and 20 minutes of high intensity once a week.

I'm doing the Phrak variant. Total beginner, been training a month. Seen steady progress in all my lifts and my bodyweight is going up but I'm finding myself unable to do more than 6 or 7 at the absolute max on the AMRAP sets. Is that normal?

The point of the AMRAP is to make resetting more productive

Yes did them for 8 months, really feels insufficent after a while but great first step for building a habit of going to the gym. I suggest you start with it and after the first month do like one more exercise of your choosing at the end of your workout, adding more as you go

Were you happy with your lifts and physique at the end of the 8 months?

Yeah, I hit 1/2/3/4 after 4 more months on a much more rigorous program.

which program was that? i’m in the exact spot you were, right at about 9 months of consistent lifting

at first I made an upper-lower program 4 days a week which was shit, later I started using natural hypertrophy's apollo program as a base and changed a bunch of shit around until it felt great.

I did it in the past; what eventually happened is that my squat caught up with my deadlift, which will obviously cause muscle imbalances, so I stopped.

I did it. It's alright. That being said, the deload protocol is moronic

Imo the best beginner program. Add one bicep tricep and delt movement and you got a dope beginner bodybuilding program.

Switch to upper lower once you’ve stalled and reset a few times.
