I'm currently 2 months in. It's hard at first but honestly, after a while you notice small things like: "oh I haven't had heartburn in a while" or "oh I'm not puking in my mouth whenever I burp" and "wow I'm shitting normally for once" It's difficult at first, but all of the little benefits are what's pushing me to continue. I didn't do anything crazy, just started cooking normally, portioning my food, and having set times for eating. You fall into it pretty quickly. Best of luck anon.

Holy shit I didn't know that normal people didn't have those problems.

I throw up in my mouth and burp all the time, especially when I'm walking or standing up. I try to swallow it faster than it comes up, but its a lot like trying to cover the water jet of a hot tub with 1 finger. I've heard I look very serious a lot of the time, its because I'm trying to keep all my food from coming into my mouth.

Yeah this is it, this is what makes being IST sustainable.

My friend who first got me into fitness over ten years ago calls it the "feel good peak", that point you reach less than a month after starting being healthy where being healthy becomes effortless because even the slightest relapse is extremely punishing.

If you are obese, you have to just trooper it for like 3 months. Plan everything you eat like an ED anorexic b***h and do not cheat for any reason.

If you are not, unironically eat more throughout the day.

Given it's emotional, you have to figure out why you binge basically.

I never officially had it, but coming off the cut after 2 years I did for sure.

.t ate more and only ate my specified meal plan and some gum, gum is good.

There are some solid youtubers who help explain how to get out of it. (You just have to deal with content aimed at women).

As said. never restrict food or try to fast after a binge.

      >Slowly identify what you can give up and replace with healthier options (i.e. not drinking sugary soda)
      >Eat around people if you can
      >Look up the hunger scale, try to stay within 4-8
      >Go for walks after you eat
      >Exercise not to lose weight or counter your binges, but to have something to look forward to and not want to be sick
      >Focus on the horrible feeling afterwards when you're craving foods

Idk your situation, we'd need more info to give tailored advice. You're not alone, food today is hyperpallatable and engineered to be addictive.

I'm not sure if you want a word of comfort or real advice, but here's what worked for me:
        >1 don't impulse buy
        >2 don't impulse buy
        >3 you're going grocery shopping? Avoid the aisles with the shit you usually crave
        >4 you have any sweets on your house? Place them on "hard" places to get to then, meaning: on top of your highest cabinet, on top of your fridge, the most away from your "working area" the best. You have sweets on a drawer on your office? Don't be a fat frick, put them on your highest shelf on your pantry
        >5 don't impulse buy
        >6 replace what you can, like this anon said
7 identify what makes you crave junk food and avoid that
8 eat healthy stuff that's also gonna make you feel "full" (sweet potatos, beans, lentils, chickpeas, peas, etc) seriously, this helped me a lot.

        Here's a golden one:
        Do NOT treat yourself
        >Oh but I deserve this mocca coffe filled with goyslop, because I achieved "X"
        Will suddenly turn to
        >Oh but I deserve it this fast food combo that could feed an entire family because I failed at "X"
Do not make excuses to eat. Thanks for reading my blog.

what exactly is binge eating? just an obese lifestyle? need to change your habits which is what anyone who decides to weigh less does. hard part is getting started so do things to lower your barrier to that before making that commitment. things like logging your calories and researching what lower calorie foods you would try if you did decide to get serious. eventually you become interested enough to try it then it's just a matter of keeping up the momentum while you shed pounds.

    Simples.
    1) Eat at breakfast (optional)
    2) Eat at lunch
    3) Eat at dinner
    4) Do not eat anything outside of these times
How were you not taught this as a child?

Have you ever taken drugs that make you feel not there like a zombie?
Its exactly that but you just keep eating.
And 5 chips become a full bag of chips,a tub of ice cream and lots of cookies when you "wake Up"

Fasting to get used to the hunger pangs and reduce the stomach size helped me.
THen I just told myself I wouldn't eat until 40 minutes after the first pang.

Or you can slowly reduce your food size and eat more satiating foods. I find protein and whole potatoes to be very satiating.

No. But what it worked is longer fastings between feasts. And eating healthier foods .
