Yeah on my second day at a new gym in a new city. It was between some 6'2 Iranian chad and some 5'4 sperg crackhead. Mild disagreement turned into the crackhead screaming and threatening the Iranian guy and his family. This went on for 5 minutes until a gym employee showed up and kicked the crackhead out. No one threw a punch but it was really tense, one wrong move and fists would have been flying. Still the craziest interaction I've ever had in a gym.

Does getting into a fight with the barbell and losing count?

Not a fight necessarily but I hope you can appreciate this. Happened to me. This dude tried to get me to fight him, told me to meet him outside in the parking lot. I told him "no but we can fight right here. There's a crowd and all the attention in the world you want." Then he told me he'd meet me outside but drove off. He got banned permanently from the gym 😀

I almost watched my friend get in a fight by the dumbbells lol. We were 17 and this friend i had at the time was into boxing and lifting and he was wienery as frick and his confidence was too high and he made a snarky comment to some /misc/ chud looking guy with glasses who was probably in his mid-late 20s, he was dyel but he looked like a psycho, and my friend kinda kept putting the pressure on him and talking down to him and the chud snapped at him and I vividly remember he told him he just got out of jail, he's not afraid to go back, and he has a knife on him and said he'll fricking stab him and asked if he wanted to go out to the parking lot to get stabbed or if he wanted to get stabbed right there and I watched as my friend went from this confident wienery gym bro to looking confused and unsure. Thay was clearly not the response he anticipated. He didn't know how to respond and I forget how it ended but they didn't fight, but it was tense as frick

Almost got into it with some sports bar American mid 30's fat frick once that I had tried being nice to several times.
I kept offering to let dude work in with me like I've done for years at this point and rather than take me up on it like everyone else before him had done he would just sit and go cold and seethe for however long. Eventually he started to just take stuff if I'd go get water or something as a passive aggressive gesture.
One day I was doing pushdowns and he walked across the room as soon as I finished the set and tried to take the handle. I told him I was still using it and he started yelling about how I'm always on whatever he wants to use. I spent a little bit of time trying to explain that I always offer to let him work in and he keeps yelling and getting close. I shoved him and started yelling back. Ended up following him to the stairs where he turned and ran away once he was out of sight from everyone.
Everyone who was there was friends with me so when management came and asked me about it they all backed me up and it was cool.

Hmm good question. I have seen a few people almost get into it over gym equipment. Mostly I hear men yelling for no reason on every rep which kind of pisses off everyone around them

The gym I go to is martial arts related.
It would be weird and kinda sus if their wasn't fights there.
Granted they are all controlled mutual combats and not out of anger, but fights all the same.

No but I had my first fight today
    >homosexual nephew (age 17) won't go to school, starts smashing the table downstairs because he's an emotion NPC
    >He is weak skinny manlet, a full foot shorter at least, I am king of the skeletons, 6 foot and 140 pounds
    >He cries when he gets tummy aches, has never done a day of labor in his life, and is weak emotional homosexual
    >I say some comment to him about him smashing shit
    >He runs up a flight of stairs, throws his shoe at me and punches me
    >Hit him back
    >Just jab him in the nose whenever I see an opening
Wow, jabs are OP. Why did no one tell me that you just have to repeatedly jab the nose to BTFO most people in a fight? Man, lanklet fights between untrained people are awesome, they go for swings like they're some boxer or anime character and all you have to do is not fall over and jab the nose repeatedly. I felt bad that I was BTFOing him too hard so I would give him chances to back up and only swing at him when he came for me, he gave up after 6 or 7 punches to the head.
CPS was called but they dropped the case, homosexual nephew BTFO!

Jabs are by far the most effective thing you can use against people in a standing fight. Part of the reason untrained fighters suck so hard against trained fighters is that they try to reenactment low percentage haymakers. Jabs are super high percentage and can really frick up your ability to keep your head clear when you're fighting. Head fog leads to moron shit like turning away. Jabs are probably more important to learn than hooks if you were forced to choose just one.

          >Mom had a divorce and had her "schizo-line" kids
          >Dad had has traditional line kids then divorced
          >They got together and made babies

I was assaulted at a gym once
    >wearing tech shirt
    >older woman staring at me
    >make eye contact
    >”YOU’RE WHAT’S WRONG WITH THIS PLACE”
    >proceeds to shout at me in the middle of the gym
    >she’s mad about gentrification and rising costs of living
    >just stand there and take it
    >eventually she tuckers herself out yelling at me
    >i pull some Jedi mind tricks and get her to start crying, apologize to me, give me a hug and leave
    >went back to the gym next day like nothing happened
    >for the next few months she’d wave and say hi if i saw her
I think since i got into so many arguments with strangers, friends and family over the years, for supporting Trump in a VERY blue area, I just naturally got good at deflection and handling irate people in public situations. Call it my israeli tricks if you want. I really like getting into confrontations in public. Verbal only, of course.

    Yeah once

    >Doing bench warm up with 1pl8
    >Some lanklet kid comes up and decides he is going to try tickle me
    >Rack the weight
    >Run after the kid
    >Pick him up
    >Body slam him onto the exercise mat
    >Pin him down and start tickling him back
    >Let him up after he begs for mercy
    >Give him a noogie and say "I love you son"
    >Watch him scamper off and run to his mum for protection

And he never tried it again

Haven't seen any fights, even if there's a lot of MENA teenagers at my gym.
Not that long ago, someone walked into a gym in my city and shot a person in the head in broad daylight.
    Probably drug related.

If it was one guy and nobody else then it was no doubt some kind of gang beef or something. Really nothing to be scared of. These kinds of situations sort themselves out if you let them do their business

Yes, it was me. Years ago but here you go.
    >Finish up my compounds
    >Hit new OHP PR
    >Frickyea feelin good in the neighborhood baby
    >Go outside for a smoke before isolations
    >Fricking hate isolations
    >Hear yellling over my music
    >Some guy screaming and cussing running across the street making a beeline for me
    >Another guy across the street also yelling
    >Take out earbuds try to ask dudes what the hell is going on
    >He throws a massively telegraphed haymaker
    >Just step to the side and he punches the brick wall behind me
    >I crack him across the face and grab him
    >dead weight, he's KO'd
Turned out he thought I was the dude who was fricking his GF behind his back, his friend was trying to tell him that it was the wrong guy.
    Also
    >Old gym had windows all along the front of the building
    >Small gym it's part of a strip mall with restaurants across the street.
    >start noticing this dude eating in the lot inside his car during weird hours.
    >found out he's taking pictures of everyone while they work out and jerking off in his car.
    >don't see him for a few days
    >his shitty corolla pulls up again
    >Multiple people run outside
    >gets his window busted out and pulled into the street before he can start his car and drive off.
    >Gets fricking wrecked by 4 gymbros because the cops wouldn't do shit about it even after we reported him.
I'm guessing the boxing and MMA gyms don't count but sometimes those guys wanna take bullshit outside and can't just leave it in the ring. Didn't happen often but there's always some butthole who cant just take his L or has shit sportsmanship in general.

Not at the gym but playing indoor soccer I almost got into a fight
    >Close game against these northern English lads
    >Their defender is constantly putting his weight on me when I have the ball
    >Ball goes out and I push him, he almost falls over
    >We yell challenges at each other a bit but it calms down
    >After the game we bro out a bit, he said it was hard playing on someone younger and stronger, which I took as a compliment
Also in highschool soccer I got in a few fights

Guy threw a clip at another dude cause he was screaming at the top of his lungs while benching with the worst form imaginable. They got in each other’s faces but staff broke it up before anybody swung.
